I used to manage a hotel, and we did have our housekeepers do the little folding thing... yes, it is a tiny extra service that makes customers feel they're getting a bit more. When I've gone to hotels,I never worried about throwing away that folded piece, cuz I figured what I was about to do with it already had lots of germs. LOL.

I know that printed tp that is going over the top shows the pictures.

I just think it's funny to change the tp at someone else's house.... a bit controling, used to make my mom really mad, because she had her specific reason for wanting it coming off the back, and felt it was rude of this relative to change it all the time.

I think cats are not the only one who can unroll it easier off the top.... toddlers have fun walking off and pulling a 30 ft piece of tp with them whenever they get the chance! LOL. Of course, that's not the worse thing they will do in a bathroom.

Sorry this totally derailed the thread. I just brought it up in response to strawberry's comment about people worrying over too many types of things.

I don't use the piece that's been folded, because I know it's been handled by someone else.

And I'm the person, by the way, who changes rolls to the top. I do it at home, I do it at my parents', and I do it at my in-laws, but not in public or at friends' homes.

Bad habit for me in ensuring the paper is on top and ready for the next person.

I like to keep my own germs, and not add other people's germs to "that place."
