skalenfehl Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 I don't see a thread for this yet so I'll start it. I just finished listening to Jeffrey Holland's talk, What a powerfully delivered testimony. I'm at such a loss for words. Wonderful session, too. Quote
Honor Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 I feel the same skal. Why is it that when I'm listening to one of the apostles speak, I'm thinking, "Wow, I love hearing him speak. He might be my favorite." But I think it with ALL OF THEM! Elder Holland's talk was amazing. Quote
skalenfehl Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 He gave a similar talk two decades ago. It was just as potent and powerful back then as today's talk was. Both moved me to tears. I know, I'm a softy. What powerful talks!!LDS.org - Ensign Article - I Stand All Amazed Quote
mikbone Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 · Hidden Hidden My favorite part so far... Elder Anderson quoting Elder Packer - paraphrasing "I am a nobody, then he turned and looked at me, and said, And Brother Anderson you are a nobody. And don't you ever forget it. And if you do you will be reminded in an instant. And it won't be pleasant." This gives me comfort. :) Brother Holland on the Atonement. I could listen to talks on the atonement all day long.
Palerider Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 yes...Elder Hollands talk was very moving and touching..... Quote
beefche Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Skalenfehl, thank you for that article. It's a great companion to his talk at Sunday conference. Awesome. Quote
Jenamarie Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I LOVED his talk. I can't wait until the Podcast comes out cuz it is totally going on my Zune! (they already have Saturday's sessions available, so hopefully tomorrow!) Quote
