This came straight from the Sunday school lesson on adversity. I studied this lesson a lot.

I got so much out of reading EACH of these scriptures - so I organized them and am posting here. Anyone who is not a member can find these at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints DC is Doctrine and Convenants.

Anyone who is going through trials (and thats everyone) or questioning God's will... may find peace as I have, in these scriptures.

Counsel on Adversity-

DC 54:10

98:1, 11

101:36-38

122:9

Alma 62:49-51

Purposes of Adversity

DC 98: 2, 14-15

Alma 62:41

DC 122:7

DC 136:31

Promises to Faithful

DC 3:8

58:2-4

98:3

121:8

101:36 (my new fave scripture)

I think you should post the scripts for all the people who are too lazy to look them up ;)

I was too lazy to do that.... thanks! lol

That was nice of you to do that changed..but to be honest...posting individual scriptures like that does me no good. Unless I can read around them and understand the context of how they are meant. To be honest..if people don't want to look them up..that is their prerogative.

While I am not suggesting that I have far more than anyone else or that mine are greater, but based on my adversity, I must TRULY be his. :)

Fortunately, as frustrated as I get, I know that I will never receive more than I can handle.

I've never understood lessons on adversity. But that may be simply because I can't remember experiencing a day of adversity in my life.

You haven't met me, yet. Wait for the day, then you'll understand adversity.

Ever feel like Someone miscalculated your load limit? I've been at points where I'm explaining to God that I really can't handle as much as He thinks I can (and guess what, He's always right that yes, I can).

Going in ... and through it... I have often joked with my sister that he must have us confused again (everyone used to get us confused on the phone... so I joked about praying :P)

Funny though... on the upside of things... I always see how wonderfully my Father has fortified me and made me capable of bearing things I didnt realize I had the strength to do myself. Without the adveristy and trials in our life---we have not fulfilled the plan - So in general I am grateful for the things that make me stronger. A friend always says (she chants it lol) Whatever doesnt Kill me will make me Stronger!

He has also said he would carry whatever load was above that which we could carry ourselves as he said in Matthew. Im grateful for that...

And MOE_ you have never ever faced a bad day in your life.. not EVER ever? ...Hmmm...****takes several side steps away from MOE as surely his is coming and oh boy its gonna be a doosy**** And tell Wife #1 that Wife#2 is convinced she is a goddess..... :P JUST kidding.

Well Pam, I see her point and am grateful because someone who stumbles across this site who is not familiar with the scriptures or where to access or find them, may find it difficult to look them up - not necessarily that they dont want to.

I dont mind when people post individual scriptures - I find many (most) people do it on here a lot - and it directs me to an area where I can then read and learn more for myself. I just need to do what Keith Brown says... he made good points on tips for posting... but it was late and I was lazy myself.

And the lesson can be found online as well.

And especially for you PAM - so you can see the context of the scriptures as presented by the church here is the lesson - you probably had it in sunday school already though :)

Everyday. LOL

I keep thinking I have hit a limit and he keeps teaching me I can take on more.
