Yer statement is an absolute lie and you know it; Boy it sure is crazy how people distort things to fit political affiliations and its also sad that discussion board members on a religeous discussion board continue to bring politics into the mix..:mellow:

I understand the logic, but I don't agree with it. The same jobs you describe used to be (and still are in non-border states) held by teenagers. Those low paying jobs with no health insurance issues are perfect for teens who are just getting extra spending money, and are covered on their parents insurance. The simple solution to illegal immigration is to raid businesses, and fine the company doing the hiring. Soon, the jobs will dry up, and the immigrants will return to their home countries, and no new immigrants will come in when they know there is no work for them here.

Lets reason together. You indicate that these low paying jobs have no helath insurance issues, however I beg to differer with you. These undocumented workers and their families require medicial and dental care just as you and I do. The difference is they go to emergency centers that are required to treat them by law and you and I pay the bill. Most do not pay taxes. I am not necessarily talking about jobs held by teenagers. Example. Teenagers imply school age. Therefore the jobs that teenagers hold are only available during the months that school is in recess unless part-time jobs are included. I am talking about jobs such as landscapers, McDonalds, roofers, construction, laborers. There are approx. 10 million +/- illegal immigrants in this country. I agree not all at any one time are all these employed. Many undocumentated workers do live in substandard housing which enables them to send much of their money home to their families in Mexico, thus depriving these wages of helping the U.S. economy. Those jobs such as bean pickers, lettuce, potatoes, orange pickers etc. were never performed by teenagers. Example; Florida Oranges used to be picked by blacks, then cubans, now its illegal immigrants.

I agree that we in addition we should raid employers.

We don't need to close the borders. Just remove the incentives and they will voluntarily leave.

I totally agree. As long as they can get a free lunch, they will keep coming to the dinner.

As long as the employers can hire them with impunity, they will continue to do so.

As long as we continue to debate this issue, our citizens unemployment numbers will continue to be high.

No...it's not an absolute lie, Jadams. Ever hear of voter fraud? You might want to research before you post things that make you sound either uninformed or willfully ignorant and blinded by ideology.

But it's the fault of the employees. ACORN has no official policy on advising pimps and prositutes how to avoid being caught by the law. ACORN wants to better our communities- not turn them into whorish slums!

Well I was joking at the time...but as long as the laws are not enforced why shouldn't they pay into Social Security? That's the same reasoning those who want to legalize drugs use. That's one of the reasons why Nevada keeps legal prostitution. I say open the gates of heck and watch those who advocate sin drown in the vile flood...ok I don't really say that, I was just channeling my inner paladin :D

I was joking, lol. Some employess at ACORN may want to make the communities better, but the people running the show sure as heck don't.

If you want the facts (as ACORN defines 'facts') you can look at their website, but be prepared to be inundated with kool aid. They still haven't made an official statement about the prostitution videos, as far as I know- I don't see one on their website.
