What does the federal government have to do with the law of God?

Civil law is predicated upon God's law.

To quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" what you would expect from me. :P

I should have been more clear. I was responding primarily to your statement that

and a slough of other posts concluding, in essence, that the outlawing of polygamy is evidence of divine disapproval of the practice.

It's of no consequence. It's outlawed regardless.

I find it very interesting that certain people continue to push polygamy down other's throats, knowing full well that it's wrong. The majority oppose it, and are offended by the mere concept.

Not understanding the true principle of Polygamy, is not understanding the eternal principle of a Patriarchal Order of Marriage. ^_^

Pam is correct. We are still under the Law of Land until the word is given to the Prophet in not following the law or when the righteous of the land takes over on what is left of our government.

Of course, Church members should know this.

The Communist Manifesto?

What???? You are calling something put out by the Church a Communist Manifesto?

Hmm...you didn't specify which manifesto you were referring to.

I should have thought both the date and the context would have made it reasonably clear.

Oh please..don't play dumb with me. You knew exactly which one I was referring to.

You obviously need to educate yourself about the subject before spouting off about such things. Just because you may be offended by the world's view of polygamy as it is practiced today by people not authorized by God to do so, does not make the concept wrong.
