beefche
Wow, Dravin, I'm going to have to reconsider this friendship of ours. Relentless, not seen Clerks, but that is a funny summary. Not true, but really funny.
Vort
Really? Have you seen the Clerks II explanation of that movie?Randal Graves: Oh, I'm crazy? Those hobbit movies were boring as heck. All it was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a volcano. Randal Graves: Here's the first movie. [walks a few steps, staring blankly] Randal Graves: And here's the second movie. [walks a few steps again, pretends to trip] Randal Graves: You ready for the third movie? [walks yet again, stops, pretends to throw the ring into the volcano. Shrugs his shoulders and turns around]At least in Joe Vs. the Volcano, they threw themselves in, not just some cheapo ring. The chicken might celebrate Thanksgiving, but the turkey is committed to it.

How many scenes are of them WALKING? I think they did more walking than in any one of those movies than the saints did in Legacy.
beefche
Relentless, you and I will never watch these movies together. I would be getting emotional over the message and you would be mocking. Did you not see the true love and devotion that was involved with all that walking? Don't get me started on the beauty of these movies.....

beefche
I dont' talk, but I am funny to watch. I cry, cringe, squeak (I don't scream), and otherwise react during movies. Unless you are going to start mocking the sacred LOTR movies--then I'll talk.
Dravin
Actually I hate it when people talk DURING movies.I generally save most of my ranting for after the movie. But sometimes, its just to much."Oh noes! The ice will sink and crush us!"

Dravin
???Gollum aboard the Titanic, perhaps?GI Joe. There is only so much your suspension of disbelief can take. That the writers/director had never seen an glass of ice water before was to much.

Moksha
The movie Flatliners was all about redemption. Field of Dreams had a profound message of being reunited with those we love if we will show faith.Brimstone and Treacle was about Divine help coming in an unlooked for manner.:)
applepansy
Fireproof... the power of forgivenss and unselfishness. I love LOTR, I've been a fan since the early 70s when I read the books. Oops! yes! I'm old!
