FunkyTown Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 It's looking bad here. The ads are making it look like Sam's gonna say yes. Don't do it, Sam! You've got Dean, Bobby and Crowley on your side. You can beat him. Quote
Hemidakota Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Oh brother...you and my daughter are alike. I have to laugh when you know your own pre-mortal role and then watch our wonderful 'horrorwood' script writers abused that heavenly position. . Quote
talisyn Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I need to ask my sister what's going on. I missed almost a whole month! Quote

You missed 'The Hammer of the Gods' episode! That is one of the best episodes EVER.Go. Go now. Watch it. A plague upon your house if you fail. Quote
GaySaint Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Lol. I don't know. I think sometimes we have to struggle with the devil in order to win :). I don't know what I'm going to do without Supernatural and Vampire Diaries all summer. Buy the DVDs, probably. Boy I'm a dork... PS: 'Death' in this last episode was my favorite character ever. What a cool guy. Quote
Maureen Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I'm glad I'm not the only one on the board who thinks Supernatural is a great show. I'm looking forward to the season finale but it's going to be hard waiting till September for Season 6. Eric Kripke won't be as involved in S6 so I'll be crossing my fingers, but I do like Sera Gamble. I'll be cheering for the boys, Bobby and Cas! M. Quote
Maureen Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 NO SPOILERS!Oh my gosh. You missed 'The Hammer of the Gods' episode! That is one of the best episodes EVER.Go. Go now. Watch it. A plague upon your house if you fail. I was not familiar with most of those gods so I had to watch the episode twice and do some studying before I could really appreciate it. Although the Trickster/Gabriel has never been one of my favorite characters. Oh well.M. Quote
Maureen Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 ...You've got Dean, Bobby and Crowley on your side. You can beat him. What about poor Castiel? He's had it hard this season. :)M. Quote
Maureen Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 FunkyTown, maybe you could give me your opinion on this question. Dean killed Zachary. I'm assuming now it was due to the sword (an archangel sword?). So as far as you understand, anyone can kill an angel if they use an archangel sword. Is that right? PS - I did like Zachary. :) M. Zak's not dead.Although there are a few things to consider: Remember '99 Problems'?He staked Babylon-girl but good and everyone thought he shouldn't be able to. Quote

Zak's not dead.Although there are a few things to consider: Remember '99 Problems'?He staked Babylon-girl but good and everyone thought he shouldn't be able to. I thought that might be connected somehow. Maybe something happened to Dean to give him special powers. The later episodes haven't really explained it, except to make reference of the archangel swords. Thanks!M. Quote
Maureen Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 *****SPOILER ALLERT****** I am about to mention how much I loved the Season 5 finale..... It was a great episode. Chuck the prophet as narrator made it more "story like" and at the end of his narration it kind of sounded like what Eric Kripke may have thought as he considered the ending of Season 5 - you can't please everyone. And the fact he made the car as part of the story made it quite sweet; everyone loves the car. Castiel is funny no matter whether he's angelic or mortal, he's a wonderful character. I loved his holy fire, never saw that coming. He's a fighter to the end; but since he is back to his old self it appears God is not absent after all. And in his mercy via Castiel, Bobby is also back and Dean's pulverised face was healed. The episode ended saying that Dean and Bobby won't see each other for a very long time - I wonder how they define "very long time"? I definitely was cheering for Sam to jump in the pit. I had no doubt at the time that Sam would be back for Season 6 and as the finale ended we know for sure that Sam is indeed back. I am guessing that brotherly love will probably keep Sam and Dean apart for awhile. Dean deserves to see what "normal" is like for a short period of time. The confrontation between Michael and Lucifer was good, not overly dramatic, but fair knowing what each would consider is the right thing to do. Michael the ever faithful obedient son and Lucifer the rebel, and he's not timid about his rebellious nature. But both were not expecting Dean to foil their plans (or Cas and Bobby for that matter). Humans can be such party-poopers....or party crashers? I was both surprised and not surprised by Lucifer killing both Cas and Bobby. And kudos to the makeup department for Dean's messed up face. I found that scene hard to watch. Dean and Sam have never really had a home to plant roots. They've always been on the road, so really the Impala has always been their home. How appropriate that their home would come to the rescue. A testament that good family memories are stronger then any sinister bad guy like Lucifer. Family wins everytime! I loved this episode. It will be sad that Eric Kripke won't be as involved in Season 6, but I do like Sera Gamble, she has written some of my favorite episodes. Good job Mr. Kripke, you are a creative genius, to me anyway. M. (PS - My critique of this episode is definitely out of order.) :) Quote
Nikkie85 Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 Hubby and I are totally obsessed with Supernatural. We started watching it on Netflix last year. We bought the fourth season on DVD at Best Buy for $19.99 and the third season on Walmart.com. Quote
must_be_alice Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Personally, I love supernatural, and the season finale just made me love it all that much more. I loved when Chuck said family is what's really important. Quote
