When i read Trunk or Treat, my first association was with catholic priests somehow... i think its sad but in this day and age not every church could get away with organising an event like this.

Sighed with relief when i saw the last pic and realised your post was intended to be funny. Also lol'ed a little :D

On a more inquisitive note: do saints celebrate haloween or is it frowned upon?

We celebrate Halloween. Sometimes even with ward family parties. Children go trick or treating. But we celebrate the "light" side of Halloween. The costumes, the trick or treating, candy etc.

We have not done the Trunk or Treat for several years, now. We have our "Fall Festival", instead. It is lots more fun for the kids. There are lots of booths/stations with various games, activities, crafts...

They still get candy...plus hot dogs, chips, cup-cakes...;)

We are doing a Trunk or Treat event and have done one every year since our ward was formed (about 8 years).

My vote- the bottom one is scarier. Much scarier. When I look at that one, my heart skips a beat in fear. Really.

Our ward had our Fall Festival last night. There was a great turn out. The children were sooo cute in their various costumes...from very extravagant to the simple. I was in charge of the Bean-bag Throw... (three tries to throw the bag through any of the 6 holes.)

We had a Go Fishing booth, a Rubber Ducky Pond (for the toddlers) a Cup Cake Walk, a face painting booth, and (of course) the Haunted House...LOL which the YM/YW took great delight in shepherding the children through.

However, the hit of the night was the hay ride. Definitely a good ending to the fun-filled event. :)
