Traveler Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 This kind of reminds me of the time I was deer hunting with a friend in my youth in Utah. We had found that prized buck and my friend dearly (pun intended) wanted to take the shot, which was from about 60 yards. We were amongst some trees and my friend put a foot on a large dead branch of a tree and rested his elbow on his knee, carefully aiming to make a precise shot. He rested the sights over the deer’s heart for a one shot kill and with all the poise of an experienced hunter breathed in slowly and then began to gently squeeze the trigger. In the instant just before the shot, the branch of the tree broke and in the insuring fall he actually shot himself in his foot.
