Searching_For_The_Truth Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Every year the Mesa, Ariznoa Temple has what I am told is a spectacular Christmas Light Display. This starts on November 25 and runs through December 31. Also from December 1 through December 25th there will be concerts on the grounds. Check out their website for more details. Welcome to the Annual Mesa Arizona Temple, Visitors' Center and Gardens Christmas Lights and Concert Series entitled The Birth of Christ In Light and MusicI will be there as much as I can. Quote
applepansy Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 My daughter and her husband are living in the Phoenix area while he's in school. I sent her the link. I think it will help her feel a little less homesick. We always try to go see the lights at Temple Square in SLC every year. This year she might not be coming home. Quote

Iggy Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 Tempe, Mesa, Phoenix - They are all so close to each other they get lumped into Phoenix 'Area'. Husband retired from ASU- Central Plant, which is in Tempe- but he & everyone who worked with him all would say that they worked in Phoenix. Quote
Vort Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 Is that tem-PEE or TEM-pee? I remember hearing an Eastern news reporter talk about Spokane, which he pronounced "spo-CAIN". And then there is the great state of Nevayda. Quote
annewandering Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) Is that tem-PEE or TEM-pee?I remember hearing an Eastern news reporter talk about Spokane, which he pronounced "spo-CAIN". And then there is the great state of Nevayda. We visited Nevada, Iowa doing some genealogy. Imagine our shock that it was actually pronounced Nevayda. Yikes! Everytime we hear sportscasters calling Boy see Boes ee it just makes me cringe. They are getting better at it. Edited November 24, 2011 by annewandering Quote
