circusboy01 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) I saw something in the heading for Alma chapter 40, that makes me wonder if I am mistaken in what I believe. This is not the first time I have read Alma. Don't know why I didn't notice it before. Last sentence of the heading says--- All things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame in the resurrection." I always thought that we were restored while still in Paradise. Does this mean that Blind people will continue to be blind deaf people will continue to be deaf. Lame people will continue to be lame etc. through out their time in Paradise and they wont be made whole again until the resurrection? Brother Ray Okay before I read any of your answers. I want to let you know that it dawned on me,what a dumb question this is. Of course we can't be restored in Paradise, as we will be spirits not flesh and bone. Again. What a dumb question Brother Ray Edited July 11, 2012 by circusboy01 Quote
Vort Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 "Paradise", as you are using it, means the spirit world where the spirits of the departed righteous dwell. They have no physical bodies, so there is no way to be blind, deaf, etc. Such things are taken care of in the resurrection, when we again are dressed in flesh. Quote
skalenfehl Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 You won't have your physical body in the spirit world, which is why you will be a spirit when you enter therein for a time, therefore the restoration cannot apply until you resurrect as Alma describes. Quote
circusboy01 Posted July 11, 2012 Author Report Posted July 11, 2012 Vort and skalenfehl, If you see the edit in my post you will notice I figured out what I've always known. I'm sure glad all my posts are not this stupid Brother Eay Quote
Sicily510 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Brother Ray, Thanks for asking and no question is a stupid question, you probably asked something someone else needed to know. Quote

Thank you for the encouraging post. I still feel kind of dumb though.I've known about the Spirit World since 1967, when the missionaries gave me the lessons.I don't understand how I could have forgotten that we are spirits in the Spirit World. Heck the name of the place is Spirit World. Brother Ray Quote
Vort Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Not a big deal, Ray. We all get distracted. Quote
