EDIT: My original intent for this post was to answer this question but I never got hte question out before my"anonymous" post stirred up a storm :D.

How many of you heard of Gileadi?

I created a new thread. Lock this one or delete it.

I shouldn't post in the spare of the moment without thinking.

Contra he-who-must-not-be-named-but-is-nevertheless-identifiable-via-a-Google-search-on-your-quote ;), I think the Church actually does a decent job telling us what we need to do to shun Babylon and approach God. And as I understand it, Gileadi was at one point saying one of his own family members was the "one mighty and strong" and ultimately--under threat of discipline--recanted his most extreme claims.

But, yes; Isaiah is very much underrated.

"I will tell you something that I was told by an Angel of the Lord who visited me a few years ago. He stressed the importance of understanding the Book of Isaiah. My guest further stated that the best way to increase the number of hits on my blog was to tell everyone I've seen an Angel."

Is the first thing you do for anyone who says they seen an angel is condemn them for false teachers? I don't care if it was posted anonymously on the blog or not.

The question is, is the message true?

That is why I posted it.

I'm guessing this is the selfsame Anonymous who offered these thoughts:

I am nobody. Just your most common member of the church. I am a woman. I have been through the veil, and I have entertained angels here. I have met the Lord and our Eternal Father. I have just this one thing to say. After the changes to the temple in 1990, I saw far fewer angels in the Temples. Following the most recent changes, I do not see angels in the Temples any longer. I have stopped attending the Temple after talking to the Lord about these things.

In a word: Bonkers. In two words: Deeply disturbed. In three words: A basket case. In four words: Try not to laugh.

Seriously, this is absurd. I have enjoyed much of what you have posted and have often agreed with you, but posting anonymous people's outlandish claims of heavenly visitation greatly weakens your cause and credibility. This woman (if she is a woman) is playing with significantly less than a full deck, or else "she" is just a troll.

I said the same thing to old Joe Smith j/k

Actually when someone tells me they've seen an angel and then tell me what I should do, I usually get an icky feeling.

I think Angels can visit men, but I think if an Angel comes with a message for all men they would share it with our Prophet and Apostles first.

Have you prayed and received a witness that Aloysius Snuffleupagus is a Prophet?

I posted it because I read it and it hit me hard. Not because its some wacko even if it is a wacko. The spirit spoke to me through it. That is why I posted it I didn't even care about any of the other of it. But yes that is the same post.

I baffled how everyone claims any anonymous person is a wacko because they see Christ (probaly only due to where it was posted) and share a bunch of random stuff. I don't know really know why I posted it besides the spirit in force directed hit me on the head when I read it.

I just am gong to delete it.

No I am not going to. I posted it because a PART of the message hit me with full force. I cared nothing to do with the claims in it. The message is true or its not.

I should know ot never post any stories that are not published or from that place.

"I used to see angels all the time. All The Frickin' Time! But then they changed the temple ceremony, and now I don't ever see angels any more at all. So me and God talked it over, and we decided I shouldn't go to the temple any more."

Are you really baffled why people would say this person is whacko?

Then talk about what touched you personally... Don't give more publicity to people whom are irrelevant and distracting to what you think the spirit is trying to teach you

Yes I should have. That is where I went wrong. I honestly didn't give a second thought about it because I am the type of person that will hear the truth in everything and ignore the rest. I forget others are not like that.

EDIT: I didn't read it all ;), so I guess the Lord was just answering a question I had adn was asking about.
