Bini Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Since the new overhaul of the site, I lost so many great friends here on LDS.net, and I never got around to re-adding those people. If you would like to be "friends" again, let me know, and I'll add you - or you can add me :) I could just go ahead and start adding all of you but sometimes people change their minds in who they want to be associated with? Wingnut Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 Are "friends" relevant in the forum setup? You're welcome to add me if you want, but I don't actually interact with friends on here, outside of forum threads. :) pam and Bini 2 Quote
Bini Posted June 11, 2014 Author Report Posted June 11, 2014 Wingnut, honestly I don't think "friends" as in "a list of friends" means much in the forum. Out of the friends I had, I think I only really messaged about two or three of them on and off, you being one of them of course! Anatess and I have had quite a few laughs too. I wish we kept all our received and sent messages... Wingnut 1 Quote
pam Posted June 11, 2014 Report Posted June 11, 2014 I don't add anyone on lds.net. I used to but deleted everyone. I just don't see the purpose on this forum site. Wingnut and Bini 2 Quote

pam Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 I use facebook for friends...I use this site for discussion. Now that sounds like I don't consider many of you friends. But I think you get where I'm coming from. Wingnut and Bini 2 Quote
Bini Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 Yup. I get the Facebook thing. For me, I use Facebook strictly for people that I know personally or family. I don't add work acquaintances I wasn't close to, or people I happened to go to high school with but weren't friends. I only have 100 people on my Facebook friend list :) Quote
pam Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I used to have a lot of friends here but since the move, I have none and people avoid me like the plague, Maybe because of the 3 warning notices which are not accurate at all. No one sees those notices except you and moderators. Dr T 1 Quote

Bini Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 Heheheh. What's weird to me, is when people add their mechanic or car sales guy to their friends list on Facebook, it's just strange to me. I understand if you're close with them but if it's only a brief encounter... weird! Quote
pam Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 My mechanic is on my friends list on facebook. Quote
Bini Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 Pam, is your mechanic an acquaintance, or are you on a friendship level with him/her? I can understand the latter, but like I said earlier, for me it's weird adding strangers or acquaintances on Facebook. (Which I consider to be a personal network.) Quote
pam Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 I was just saying my mechanic is on my facebook. Just making a statement nothing more. Quote
Bini Posted June 13, 2014 Author Report Posted June 13, 2014 That's fine if it's a secret. You brought it up, so I asked. Quote
