Fether Posted July 27, 2017 Report Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) I just started a mobile auto detailing business and it is going pretty well so far. I set a goal to clean one car a week and I'm averaging about that, a little more actually. I have been adjusting my prices in trying to get more jobs and compete with other local detail shops. On occasion I still get people who think the prices are too high. So here are my questions: 1) What would you pay (or have paid) for a full interior car detailing? 2) What would you be willing to pay for a full exterior and interior detailing? However, If I were about to sell my vehicle and wanted an awesome job, between $50-60 would be the most i'd pay before I would just go back to doing it myself again. 2) See # 1, except $75 max including exterior (assuming a full waxing is included). If it were from a private individual rather than a well known business, I would expect to pay about $5-10 less. Edit: I totally missed the 'mobile' part. Tack on an extra $20 to all my numbers for that convenience. Edited July 27, 2017 by person0 eddified 1 Quote
omegaseamaster75 Posted July 27, 2017 Report Posted July 27, 2017 For both exterior and interior, a mobile service that comes to my place of business or home, I'd expect to pay between $150-350 depending on the level of service provided. What part of the country are you in? This will make all the difference. Quote

my two cents Posted July 27, 2017 Report Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) I'm with @person0 in that I'm a do-it-yourselfer and if somethings not going to last long, I'm not inclined to pay much. However, if someone were trying to make money for a mission for example, I'd pay about $25 for inside and out and consider that generous (we don't have spills or mud in the vehicles so it's light work and as a teen I did my parents car int & ext for less than $10 at the car wash). Good luck btw. Edited July 27, 2017 by my two cents Quote
anatess2 Posted July 31, 2017 Report Posted July 31, 2017 Auto-detailing is completely different than Cleaning/Car Wash. I get my car detailed once in a while. I pay $150 for the coupe, $225 for the SUV. And I drop my car off at their place. The auto-detailing service includes some kind of clay treatment for the paint which evens out all the nicks and scratches and then they put some sealant to bring the paint back to brilliant shine. They also steam clean and disinfect the interior of the car and buff out any scuffs and re-condition the leather seats. They go into nooks and crannies with a toothbrush including air vents, cup holders, and other hard to reach crevices. They shine the rims and clean out the tires and wash out the undercarriage to neutralize the salts from the beach. I usually leave the car at their place for 2 days. Quote
