I am SSP in my ward. Lately, I want to give varity to the Meeting. Does any one have suggestions. I was thinking that to have one meeting of having the Youth Teachers and focuse of their needs.

We have the following meetings, which are necessary to accommodate Primary (teachers and presidency), room availability, and ensure a small enough group that it's an actual council, not a lesson:

* 2nd Sunday, 2nd hour - half the third-hour teachers / presidencies

* 2nd Sunday, 3rd hour - half the second-hour teachers / presidencies

* 3rd Sunday we follow the same pattern, but with the other half

It was recently decided that to get more buy-in, we'd have the meeting conducted by the participants rather than the SS presidency.  That starts next week (today was Stake Conference), so I won't know how that goes for a while.

Make sure your SSP member isn't turning it into a class / lecture.  In my experience, all you need are a couple questions (there's not time for more with a good group), some scriptures and maybe a quote or two from the manual.  All but maybe 5 minutes should consist of participants talking to each other.

IMHO, this applies to almost every 2nd and 3rd hour class. Some formats require more weight in different areas, such as GD having more scriptures than quotes/questions, but I think overall it's pretty universal.

If you're looking for variety, focusing on one aspect of teaching sounds like a good idea.  Have you asked the Youth teachers if they have anything them would like to focus a meeting on?

Focusing on a topic they feel is important seems to be better than (effectively) saying "Hey this meeting is for the Youth leaders, everyone else just play on your phones now".

For example.  Gospel Doctrine Class hasn’t changed to the new format of the Come Follow Me that Youth Sunday School and Priesthood and RS has. Probably in few years that Gospel Doctrine and Gospel Principle will change.

I was thinking that in March. Have a follow up of the change in RS And EQ. And help resolved with any issues that they have.

This! It is a council meeting, so pattern it after the ward council. It should be raising issues from the classes (we've come to the meeting with such challenges as getting kids to sit still, teaching ESL adults, building an environment where students are comfortable sharing and asking questions, getting more class participation), counciling on solutions, and follow-up on last month's action items (solutions).

I think it's a good idea to periodically have the youth teachers meet with the youth quorum and class teachers since they'll be working with some of the same kids and may want consistent methodologies across the 2 hours. I think it's also good to periodically shuffle who's in each council meeting so fresh ideas can be brought in.
