zil Posted July 9, 2018 Report Posted July 9, 2018 For anyone who has had a Stake Conference since April, has this meeting changed for you from being a Priesthood Leadership meeting to being a Leadership meeting (i.e. now the RS, YW, and Primary leaders are to attend)? I'm curious if this is unofficial, official, regional, temporary, permanent, etc. Also, has anyone heard of changes to assign an RS (or EQ) counselor to be over Family History & Temple work? Again, curious what, if anything, is happening elsewhere in the Church. Quote

Sounds like another Apostasy is occurring in your neck of the woods I have not seen any of those changes, but I was released from the elders quorum presidency after last GC so I don’t know zil 1 Quote

Well, as far as I know, it's only the EQ in my ward - I have no idea what the EQs in other wards are doing. The stake conference priesthood leadership meeting change is not unique to my stake - I know of at least one other nearby stake which also did it. I just don't know if it's permanent, Church-wide, or what. Quote
Vort Posted July 9, 2018 Report Posted July 9, 2018 Yes, as I recall, this was what happened with our stake. zil 1 Quote

Again, curious what, if anything, is happening elsewhere in the Church. Ours was Stake Priesthood Leadership, happened in June. In all leadership meetings, even priesthood leadership, it has always been the prerogative of the stake presidency as to who would be invited; however, I have not experienced RS being invited to the stake priesthood leadership meeting. As to Family History and Temple work that was previously assigned to High Priest Quorums. With the change this would then fall unto a counselor in the EQP now. If nothing has been posted online or any new FAQ from the Church headquarters I would be once again cautious to any movement outside of what is counseled or provided. zil 1 Quote

Thanks, that's helpful. In my friend's ward, it was RS and YW leadership. If I understood correctly, RS, YW, and Primary will be asked to attend ours next month. Anddenex 1 Quote
