I went to one of my many specialists today and she said, ‘Why don’t you move to Nevada or Arizona? ‘ I was slightly stunned. 😔 I might be able to go to one of these states for June, July and August. I could stay in a student residence. I need Great a/c and internet. I don’t suppose anyone knows of a great student residence in Arizona or Nevada?

Vegas has TONS of student and non-student apartments that are rediculously nice.

I've lived in AZ for eight years now. When I first moved out here, I lived in several different singles wards around ASU.  Would you be open to having roommates?  If so, my sister showed me this website I had a lot of luck with:

http://www.ldshousing.net/

I moved four separate times, and each time I used this website and found great roommates and places to live.  All were nice houses with our own rooms.

Why Arizona or Nevada?

Other than my curiousity, I don't know of specific areas in Arizona or Nevada.  A/C would seem pretty important during those time periods though.

If you need something drier, you could get a dehumidifier (my house has one built into our heating and A/C system) or you could get an environmental HEPA filter if it is pollens rated for your house size/apartment size (our house also has one built in, with electronic filtering included).

My doctors fear that changes in barometric pressure trigger migraines.

Drier? Than Arizona or Nevada?

Not necessarily participation but fluctuations in barometric pressure. If anyone is aware of an area with low fluctuation, I would really appreciate you letting me know.

I suppose it depends.  I can set my Humidity in the house anywhere from 0% to 50% though the main settings show a 15% to 50%.  You can set it under that but they don't show the percentage really so it's more of that area between the dial and 0% and off.

I suffer from inflammatory arthritis which has flare ups due to barometric pressure.  I don't know of an area with low fluctuations in that regards, except that the East Coast probably isn't what you may be seeking.

I think Southern Utah or any Desert area probably would work as well.  In that instance you may try to find housing at SUU or thereabouts (Southern Utah University) or even around the Mesquite area as they may have just as little variations in barometric pressure as other places.  Flagstaff Arizona on the otherhand may one of the areas of Arizona I might try to avoid.  I think those two areas may be cheaper than some of the major university areas that have higher housing costs.  I believe Dixie may be down there as well (St. George).

I've not been successful in regards to when or when my arthritis gets worse, so I'm probably not the best to give advice on it, but those might be areas to look into.

My doctors suggested these states but I think they are mistaken. I need to look at the research but I think most people with migraines are affected by heat and to a lesser extent changes in barometric pressure.

With Migraines I think a new item some are looking at is also Altitude, or how much above Sea Level one lives at.  I think some preliminary studies suggest that the higher the altitude one lives at the higher a chance of Migraines.  Thus, in areas like Utah and Idaho (and even above the continental divide) Migraines seem to arise more often than at other areas.

Western British Columbia may be nice in that regards (but probably terrible as far as Barometric changes go).
