Who do you fear more? GOD or fanatical murderers? Just have to remind them to go back and read the Koran instead of following the clergy fanaticism. Yet, shows resemblance of the Catholic clergy of the dark ages that were killing the non-Catholics and there own, when someone would rise up and verbally assault the church in Europe.

Yes, that would work...thanks GS.

A discussion of Heaven and our view of heaven
Hemidakota replied to Traveler's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
[This is my expression here] More or less, it is a descriptor for a person of GOD, trying to scribe what is being shown in the seventh heaven. Have you received a vision or dream, we never know which one when it comes to us, a guide (ministering spirit or angel) comes to us and accompanies us to a location, begins to converse on what is being shown or may give promptings to our mind? Former prophet writers are trying to illustrate in their own words, based on their physical surroundings, what was shown. Even Apostle John, sought to convey his message to paper what was seen of our days. A good point, what would John call a Tank firing rounds down range in his day? Or CH-46 Marine helicopter with troops aboard landing in a hot DMZ? I could see him using metaphors and surroundings object in describing what was shown. Even I have a few ‘opportunities’ that happen in my own life where our English language could not even transcribed most of which was given. We simply at times, do not have the appropriate language to illustrate preciously for other to understand the content. Same goes with prophets of the past in seeing across the veil or future events. But calling it a throne room is ok with me. -

HiJolly, if you perform a "liquid chromatography" of chocolate you will more than often see two distinctive analytical peaks: one for theobromine and the other for caffeine. A very popular analytical chemistry textbook even illustrates a typical quantitative analysis for caffeine in chocolate bars. Remember, Cocoa is a bean just like Coffee is a bean, the scientific method for testing them for caffeine is the same. -

30mg of the natural stimulate is equal to 1.4 ounces of that tasty chocolate powder. How do you manage to get 5-chocolate bars? I am refering to dark chocolate powder form. 42 grams = 1.4815064 ounces 5.4 would be the multiplier factor to equal one cup of coffee. -
To add, this statement was uttered to one of the thieves, who expressed a feeling that Christ was innocent of a crime (Luke 23:41). The Prophet Joseph Smith taught that "paradise" more correctly meant "the world of spirits." The thief may not have understood what Jesus meant—what was his understanding of God's plan?—but Christ's words clearly were intended to be a comfort to the thief. Again, in his suffering, the Savior was thinking of the needs of those around him.
-
Yes! He was correct. Both thieves on the cross will enter into the kingdom of GOD. But to which glory will be based on their mortal life, repentance process, and the acknowledgment He was the Christ. Each will receive anything that is less than the Celestial Kingdom. However, if their temple works are done by proxy, it will be up to the Savior in allowing them to the lowest order of the Celestial Kingdom. The Atonement is for all men and women, regardless of what was done in this world. The only exception is perdition. To answer what part of heaven is it really necessary for any ordinance of the Gospel would be baptism. This needs to be accomplish in mortality in order to enter the gate therein, would be the lowest state of the Celestial Kingdom.

I never really understood this and totally ignored it until the last few years, where I now understand what was being stated. Yet, allot of the anti's use this and really don't have a clue to what the theological usage of stars as LDS community - "Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening called the moon? ...when you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the ignorant of their fellows. So it is in regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain," (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 13, p. 271).

Exactly...I believe the same. -
Fixed...thanks for the correction. What led up to the KJV is why I added the 1500s to this edition. The following is history... After several earlier English translations of this accepted Greek text,—Tindale's (1526), Coverdale's (1535), Matthew's (1537), Taverner's (1539), the Great Bible (1539-1541), the Geneva Bible (1557-1560), the Bishops' Bible (1568)—King James of England, that he might bring order and some kind of religious unity among his Protestant people, organized a committee to prepare an English version that might command the respect and support of the people. In 1611 this Committee submitted to King James an English translation of the generally accepted Greek text, the translation in no small part being based on some of the earlier English versions. This new translation met the general approval of the people and since that date has been known as the King James Version, or Authorized Version. The Greek texts available to, and some at least used by the translators of the King James Version of 1611, were: that of Cardinal Ximenes — the Complutensian Polyglott (published in 1520); that of Erasmus (printed in 1516), begun after but published before the Complutensian; that of Robert Stephen (published in 1546 and 1549); and that of Beza (published in five editions, 1565 to 1598), which differed little from Stephen's. The Elzevirs — Bonaventure and Abraham — printers, brought out two editions, 1624 and 1633, made up of the texts of Stephen and Beza. All of these were Greek texts. The various English Bibles were based on one or more of these Greek texts, as they were available. ('Why the King James Version' by J. Reuben Clark, p.2)

SIDENOTE: if Oliver Cowdery remain active in the church, being second elder called, most likely he would of became an apostle, would have been next prophet of the church after Joseph Smith. Amazing how events played out in having President Young as the succeeding prophet. -
