  1. I liked it elphie! And it took me a while to get into it too, but then I finished it and I love them! Now I have all of them, and I had to restrain my mom from stealing the fourth one from me before I could read it(she tends to do that a lot but we all love her anyways) I think you should give it another chance :)
  2. heck no! soccer is cool in like high school..football is totally the greatest sport ever
  3. There aren't going to be anymore books from Bella's point of view. As it has been mentioned, Midnight Sun will come out but due to the fact that the first chapter was leaked, it has been postponed indefinitely. I liked Breaking Dawn a lot, I think it was great the way she finished up the story
  4. Homecoming isn't really a date. People say they are "going together" but at my school, everyone just goes to the football game and hangs out.
  5. I think the pats better not be playing during church tomorrow..cus it was no bueno watching the OU game recorded
  6. My psychology teacher told us it's because of their brains..but you know what? It's really true. Girl brains develop faster..so technically they are like two years older than guys(at least in high school) Anyways, that's the technical part. I think it's just because guys are dumb jk I love them. I agree with everyone else, it's about how everyone deals with things. And some girls(or guys) have an easier time understanding the opposite sex. I think guys are easier to understand than some girls! But that is just my opinion
  7. I think it really depends on the girl. Like, if the girl likes flowers than go for it, because she will think it's cute. But if she's not a flower girl, then she might think it's stalkerish. I don't know, I'd like flowers anytime..especially since chocolate makes me sick..and I don't really like it anyway
  8. I'm so excited for the real season to start, preseason bores me. But who saw the USC game on Saturday? Was that greatness or what? I loved it. Yay for football!
  9. My mom would never say something like that..maybe one or the other..but not both at the same time. She's not THAT big of a geek
  10. I tell my mom everything, not because I feel obligated to or because I'm scared she will sneak into my private life to find out information if I don't. I like to tell her things because I can trust her. And she shouldn't feel like she has to pry information out of me. If I found out that she was reading my texts or screening my phone calls, I would feel so betrayed and not trusted. That would hurt my feelings more than anything. I think that may be one of the worst things you can do to your child because they won't want to tell you anything after that. It's a violation of their privacy, if you think so or not. They do. If you want them to tell you things, then you need to establish that relationship
  11. I thought it was good..very funny. My mom and I went and saw it and I was never embarrassed to laugh at anything. That could also be because it's my mom and she gets stuff too. But you know how sometimes you watch a movie with people and you feel bad laughing at something because they don't get it or because you don't want them to know that you know about certain things? yeah it wasn't like that at all. I would go see it again, in fact I might..with my friends this time because it was just that entertaining.
  12. I love football season! Especially at my high school! But pro football is totally my favorite too. Can't wait for it to start
  13. computer texting or on the phone?
  14. I would turn them down but I'm only 16 lol I'm not quite sure what to make of the spiritual age difference but I think that when an older man and a younger girl get together its a little odd. I mean it's their choice, but it just seems...different?(if thats the word I'm looking for) to me. This could be based on how the media has shown the "acceptable" couple to be though. Most couples I see are usually around the same age, and if there happens to be a large age difference then things are said about them like "oh that girl must be a gold digger" or something along those line. Overall though I think it is their choice and if that is what they choose to do and they feel it is right..then go for it
  15. i read that book last year for my english class. It is soooooo good! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
  16. Okay so my mom insisted that I respond to this thread and explain the diff between hanging out and dating as well as talking and talking (aka taaaaaalking) First: Hanging out is when you just get a group of people to just chill together. The activities can vary but basically you are just all spending time with each other. Like previous posts, and Elder Oaks explained. A date is when one person calls another person that they are interesting in pursuing a relationship with and asks if they would like to hang out. This is where most people get confused. Because a date can be constituted as (like in my case for example) a boy coming to pick me up and we go together to hang out with our friends. Usually however, dating involves not steadily dating anyone and going out to the movies, or mini golf or something like that. These days however, many people choose to go with a big group of people. Group dating has become more socially acceptable, a fact my father has yet to accept lol. Either way dating involves a guy/girl specifically calling to ask the other person to go somewhere with them. The next one my mom wants me to explain is the difference between talking and talking. *deep breath* So talking to someone is just carrying on a conversation with the person. Like you would talk to your friend. Talking is when you are talking to someone about dating them. Like you are getting to know each other and could quite possibly date each other. Talking in no way guarantees that you will date the person, but you are talking. Talking also is used when explaining to your friends, and other people that where your status is with the person in question. Ex: If I am talking to my friend about a boy and I say that we are talking that refers to the fact that we have mentioned dating and that he calls/texts me frequently. We also hang out when we can and pretty much everyone knows that you two are talking Its like an unwritten rule that if you are talking to someone then other girls/boys don't try to talk to you Confused? Ask me about it
  17. As a 16 year old girl, I receive gifts from boys every now and then(holidays, birthday, even sometimes just because) I consider it a nice gesture and thank the boys for what they give me. My mom likes to hear about what I get, while my dad usually wonders why they're giving it to me(thats a usual dad thing though), but either way they don't really mind that I'm getting them. I'm sure the situation would be different if I was asking for the presents but seeing as I'm not, they don't object. And I have a younger brother, in the grade below me, who knows the boys so when my dad has any questions he just goes to Bryan.
  18. ummm i don't know if this is still relevant but fastweb.com has scholarships that you can go through and you can sign up to have them send you information about scholarships as they become available.
  19. Hi! And welcome to the site..I'm quite new myself, but its pretty cool. And I think its pretty amazing that you play the harp! That's AWESOME!
  20. Thanks guys! I'm very much excited to be on here. My mom talks about how much fun it is all the time. Oh and Mailis..tell your sons they should join! That would be pretty awesome. My best friend is thinking about joining too.
