Have you heard about the pioneering surgery in Utah last week that split apart conjoined twin sisters? Doctors have been studying the girls for four years to see if they could be separated safely. The girls were born fused at the abdomen with a common pelvis and shared liver, large intestine, small intestine, urinary tract and bladder. The girls are Kendra and Maliyah Herrin. So far the Mormon family is very pleased with the out come of the 16 hour separation surgery. There will be dozens of additional surgeries necessary as the twins regain their strength.

Nick, I hope that you are doing great. I know that it will take some time before you will notice any progress, but I'm hoping and praying for the best. :) PS: After reading about the conjoined twin sisters surgery in Utah I can see that the state really has some great medical facilities. :)

Prayer For Nick Dear Heavenly Father I want to thank you for all the blessings that you have bestowed upon me. I sometimes wonder if I'm receiving more than my fair share, especially when I see so many others with such burdens of pain and suffering that they are having to endure. One such family that I have come to know over the past two years is a young man named Nick with a brain injury that has become infected and his mother who is a strong inspiration through her valiant struggle to do all that is in her power to save her son. During the next several months Nick will be under going new medical procedures to rid his brain and skull of the infection....I pray that the doctors will be at their best during the procedure. Dear Heavenly Father I would also like to ask you to please look after this family and especially to help Nick to improve from it. Please Dear God, I humbly ask you to answer this prayer. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Johndoe, Thank you for sharing the article on a possible natural explanation for the parting of the Red Sea. I also agree with you...just because there is a possible natural explanation for the occurrence, doesn't mean my faith has been shaken. I can see God knowing and using the laws of nature to accomplish his desired task. PS: I would also like to see the movie when it comes out. :)

Maureen, I am thinking that one is one that perhaps is using the same server. It does happen and you are right, she was a great poster. I really do miss her greatly. The other id's there are relatively new and seem to use the same style of posting. THAT is the reason that when you/we block a range of IP's sometimes an innocent person is in the mix. Marsha I miss curvette too. I don't think that she was part of the same group of impostors. This a game they play going arouind to other boards doing the same kinds of things......they have way too much time on there hands..... The movie "Sybil" with the multiple personality disorder comes to my mind.

SF, I just read your post about about your brother and your mom and I'm so sorry that their time with you on Earth was so short. Yes, I believe in miracles and I don't know why some people are saved by them and others are not, but I do have faith in Jesus Christ as our savior and feel that someday this time on earth will be like a blink of the eye and we as a family will all be together again in Heaven if we follow his teachings.

SF, I will pray for Nick's recovery and also for strength and comfort for his family. I have followed Nick's ordeal for over a year now and he seems like family to me. I'm so sorry that this had to happen to him and I hope that all goes well.

That is so sad. I pray that God will give these women the strength to over come this vicious assault.

On a different note: At one time, when we lived in Nashville, I wanted to be fed to the white tigers at the zoo when I died. Wouldn't that be cool? Picture a cub scout troop touring the zoo; they get to the tiger exhibit and two keepers hurl my corpse into the cage, the tigers pounce... Oh no!
