I have stayed out of this discussion for as long as I have because I felt that Ferki needed to make up her own mind on the relationship's continuance or not. For me personally though profanity by a future spouse would be a bitter pill to swallow. I've had to tolerate profanity by rude, obnoxious, abusive and ignorant people in school, in public places and at work, but I certainly don't want it in my home. Do I use swear words or the substitute ones? ..."NO"! I agree it can be hard to keep from it because we are all bombarded by them everyday...on the street, in the store, at work, at school and on TV and radio and especially in movies even the ones made for kids. My feelings on the use profanity goes back to a very early experience that I had in school on the play ground. When I was in the second and third grade there was a boy in class that stuttered. When he stuttered the majority of the students would laugh and make fun of him, but outside on the play ground away from the teacher, they would also curse and swear at him. A few of us kids would go to his aid, but his life at this school was truly miserable. Even at that young age I wondered how and why some kids could be so cruel to another. I remember going home and telling my parents about the situation and we talked about some of the great gifts that God has given to man and how he should treat these gifts with respect and use them wisely. A couple of the gifts that we talked about were the human brain and human speech. Of all the animals in the animal kingdom ....man along possesses a superior brain and vocabulary ....this is a gift from God to us, a very special gift ....so why would you abuse such a gift by using it for cursing and swearing? For me this is the equivalent of taking this special gift that God has only given to man and throwing it back in God's face by using it in a disrespectful and abusive manner.

Winnie, I can see it now...: News flash ...Winnie G. of LDS Talk was just arrested this morning for Gnome napping. The suspect was caught red handed at approximately 3:47 AM wearing pj's and a robe as she was seen removing her neighbors Gnome from the front yard by base security. It seems that base security had been tipped off by an anonymous source that had over heard of Winnie's plans to Gnome napping, so as a precaution base security had set up a sting operation with a decoy Gnome and even ask the neighbor to move it a little closer to Winnie's house as further enticement. Officer Michael stated that: "My partner and I were about to give up when 3:30 AM rolled around and then we spotted an outside light come on at Winnie's house. A few minutes later we hit pay dirt as Winnie was spotted removing her neighbors Gnome." Neighbors on the scene said that the sheriff's office was called and that Winnie was handcuffed and taken away to jail. One neighbor stated that: "If Winnie had only asked, I'm sure her neighbor would have happily allowed her to borrow her Gnome, but under the circumstances...she now hopes that Winnie is prosecuted to the full extent of the law." The law states that a person found guilty of Gnome napping could be punished by one to ten years in prison.

I don't know if you find this terrible or not, but I average about one hour of TV per month and that's on my lunch break at work. In my break room at work there is a TV showing reruns of "Mash" ...which I hate or sometimes old black and white 40 or 50 year old "Perry Mason" movies that are great. When I'm off work I prefer the computer or renting a movie when I'm not running, bicycling, working out, practicing karate or other sports.

SF, In this time frame there was a JS/Wonka Trojan virus being spread by clicking on the underlined links from the : DO you download music in the internet post by Music ... they had just joined that day and they put their religion as France. I think that they were a ringer to infect the forum. I sent a PM to Heather and told Soulsearcher in chat about it and he removed the links to the virus.
