  1. Outshined, Thanks for the trailer ... it looks exciting! :)
  2. Setheus, I would like to express my condolences to you and your family. I read your blog entry on this loss and I want to say that; I hope you can let go of the demons of your tender youth when your stepfather was drunk and hurtful, and focus on the times when he was a good and loving father. May God bless and look after you and your family during these difficult times! :)
  3. I like LDS church music, country music like Faith Hill, Norah Jones's album "Come Away With Me", Big Band Era music, Jazz and Blues. I like most music, but I don't like profanity or lyrics that offend my religious beliefs and values.
  4. Eric, AF, and Ray, I really enjoyed reading your answers. :) Eric ... I like your website also!
  5. Ldsgurl, That sounds like fun! :)
  6. LT, It's nice to hear the great news!
  7. Outshined, I can see the photos just fine ... thanks for sharing! :)
  8. Laureltree, You and your dad are in my prayers. Best regards.
  9. Shanstress, I'm glad that you have been affected in a positive way by this board :) ... and I agree that with people like "Lindy" on board to effectively extend the hand of love and friendship, it sure makes it easier.
  10. I agree ... that was also an additional reason that I chose not to have access. Thank you for the advice.
  11. Spencer, I think that anti-Mormon discussions have gotten out of hand several times this spring and summer. I also think that the sexual discussions were not appropriate for general audiences. If we must have these discussions, then I agree that they should be in an open restricted access forum. I may change my mind, but for now, I don't want access to this open forum.
  12. IMO ... Anybody who actively on a regular basis disagrees with Mormon doctrine and philosophies is anti-Mormon.
  13. Outshined, Thank you for being part of the relief effort. I'm also glad that you made it back safely. :)
  14. SF, Why do we pray? All of the above! I think that there were some great responses to that question. :) I'm so sorry that your family had to experience such a tragic ordeal of having a son almost die, but having endured such a traumatic situation ... I feel that you and your family now have even a stronger testament of your faith. I like the fact that ... instead of reading post complaining about: Why me ? Why my family? ... You share post about thankfulness, hope, love, feeling the spirit, miracles and the power of prayer. :) You are a true soldier for Christ ... thank you for being such a positive force on LDS talk forum!
  15. I'm not saying that your beliefs are wrong. All I am saying is that feelings get hurt, and the message of truth isn't being received because it is hindered by contention in the manner it is stated. And that truly is very sad, because I believe it is important to have the truth stated. If you believe I'm wrong, then that's fine. There really isn't anything more I can do about that. I'm only attempting to make the board more harmonious, but it seems all I am doing is making it worse. Heather, IMO ... I think that your idea is a good one. :) If the real purpose of the post is to convey the message of truth ... then why not present it in a less confrontational manner and not risk losing the essence of the post because of hurt feelings.
  16. Pushka and Ingenious, Happy Birthday! :)
  17. Setheus, Eros and Outshined, I bumped this post of SF's up to let you know that we Americans care about our soldiers in war and in relief efforts. May God bless! :) http://www.ticz.com/homes/users/bob/On-A-Rock/On-A-Rock.htm
  18. I envision the same thing. Is there any specific way you could imagine this happening? In other words, any specific topics or formats which you would enjoy seeing? Hope to hear from you. :) ← AK, I could see a whole series of DVD ... one might have a theme pertaining to loneliness or depression, another could pertain to choosing what is right, another one could give inspiration to the viewer ... as an example - SF, shared graffiti rock with us .... a thousand people either went by this rock and did nothing or added more graffiti to it. Then the viewer comes upon the rock and he has some choices that he can click on to see some possible consequences for his actions ... good background music along with providing relevant gospel information can strengthen faith and encourage us to read and study the scriptures for answers to everyday situations that we encounter. :)
  19. beanblossom, Welcome to LDS talk forum! :) I hope that in a short time your new home can be as spiritually fulfilling as the one that you left. :)
  20. nuclear waist should be spelled : nuclear waste We all make little spelling errors from time to time ..... don't worry about it. :)

    Hello.

Kal, Welcome to LDS talk forum! :) I think that the LDS religion is great as well. :) Best wishes. :)
  22. SF, Thank you for sharing the story of what was once called graffiti rock. :) It's just amazing at how one individual with a vision, can look at an eyesore that a thousand others have looked at and either just complained about it, or add more graffiti to it ... and say; "I can do something about this!"
  23. AK, I would like to see an adult level interactive DVD that would strengthen faith and provide relevant gospel information. :)
  24. Cellowaif, Thank you for sharing. :) I pray that the people of China may someday be allowed the freedoms that the people in the free world have grown accustomed to. :)
