Franken, No, I haven't heard of him. Is there something we should know?

Happy birthday Laureltree

Lindy, Thank you! I think that it is important to remember and share both small and great deeds that our men and women in the service have done to secure our freedom. :) Memorial Day is not just about us and how we are going to spend a three day weekend!
-
Dell, It's too bad that some people can behave as immature as Jeff. I would just try to ignore him, but if that doesn't work then I would follow Setheus advice.

Autumn, Lindy has given you some good advice. :) Yes, alot of people feel alone at one time or another when they are ridiculed for sticking to their beliefs instead of succumbing to peer pressure to fit in and be like everyone else. I think that maintaining high standards of conduct is commendable and not something to be ashamed of. Over a period of time, by maintaining high standards of conduct you will avoid alot of the mistakes that some of your peers will make and later regret. Speaking from the view point of a guy. I can tell you this ... there are good guys and there are guys that will try to play with your mind and say or tell you anything ... to get you to do what they want. The peculiar thing is that these same guys will have a double standard when they finally decide to settle down and get married. The girl/girls that they convinced to stoop down to their level was okay then, but most of them will want a wife and mother of their children that has maintained a high standard of conduct. They somehow, now think that they are better than those girls that they played around with earlier. By sticking to your convictions you will be better prepared to deal with people and events that would try to derail you. :) Stay strong my friend! I have faith in your ability to CTR.

1944 ~ after 60+ years Her memory still soars http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-ma...ie30may30.story Just one of the thousands of stories to remind us of what Memorial Day is about.

Outshined, I think that your cookout idea is a good one. You seem to have a good handle on doing the right thing for others! :)

Memorial Day~ Memorial Day should be remembered for those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. :) I'm very thankful for the brave men and women that have served our country. Thank you, Thank you very much! :)

Jason, Thank you~ I like your reasoning for removing the ex-mo from your name . You may be getting older, but you are most assuringly getting wiser too! :) -
Jason, IMO~ I think Snow's answer is an accurate assessment.

huma17, Good point. :)

Nick, Have a great graduation. I wish you the best! :)

Setheus, I never laughted so hard ... until after reading your post! :) I would like to live in the celestial kingdom, but I'll settle for what I'm given. That (old) cloud bed doesn't seem that bad, really. Star Wars always has the best graphics, but I like Star Trek. I never was a fan of Star Wars. I like both of your avatars, but I think you look cooler with this one back! It's got a cool dude, European flare to it. No wonder you got all the women swooning over you. How can us mere mortal men compete?

John doe, You have a right to object to the use of profanity. The rules that we all agreed to, when we signed up as members states: "Any post which contains profanity, obscenities, or anything which would be found offensive to the majority of those who are LDS members will result in the post being removed, and the poster being banned from the site. There is a zero tolerance policy in place for those who choose to break those guidelines." If I were to break the rules, and it was pointed out to me, I would apologize. It really doesn't do a poster much good using profanity anyway, because very few people will see it before it gets edited. Why risk getting banned for so little a result? If you feel that you must use profanity to get your message across, then you could edit it before you post. Example: The white cat went up the steep hill! The####cat went up the####hill! If the reader knows the poster, then he will still have a good idea what the edit means.

Tao, The timing of his death ... when his son and family are visiting is my main reason for questioning the suicide vs. accident theory.
-
LaurelTree, Interesting post about your screen name. Thanks for sharing!

Dell and hfavaron, Thank you for the compliment. :) I try very hard to do what is right. I prefer to post for all on the message board than to PM though. It's better to play it safe, than be sorry later. Welcome to LDS Talk Forums. I hope that you will like it.
