As you know, the Us is very poor shape..with record debts. If the United states looses its AAA redit rating with other countries, the Dollar would drop into a steep decline. Interest rates would skyrocket and well..watch the rest. BTW, Obama has said its very possible, that next month, Social Security payments may not go out, because there is no money to pay out.

Rich uncle "well, on paper" gave his estate away to new wife
bcguy replied to bcguy's topic in General Discussion
I mean, its just a number, a tool to pay debts. Anyone who is foolish enough to blow it for example, winning the lottery, or big pay check from job is foolish. Now look at a guy who has a house worth mmm maybe 300k in Omaha Nebraska and has lived there since the early 50s? He owns a truck with hail damage worth maybe 8k? Yes, he is the wealthiest man in the world. Do any of you know who I am referring to? He is a example of not getting emotionally attached to his money..not ever. If I did win alot of money, pay off debts, tithing, new house machine shop then relax. -
I am impressed with her math skills. She could blow me out of the water :) Vort, mis your old pic to!

Are people capable of making there own decisions without always praying about it? I remember once, I was asked for a calling by a member of our ward. I was to be the scout assistant. I said, I am sorry, I have to turn it down as I work evening shifts. He asked again firmly "can you except the calling as a scout assistant??" At that point, I was thinking to my self, doesn't this guy get it? I WORK for a living. The next time I saw him I said hi, and he totally ignored me. I question is lack of common scene if I work, I cannot serve nights as a scout assistant.

I worked on the autobot "Blackout" from the first movie. And I am not joking. Twenty years ago, I was a crew chief on the Sikorsky Pavelow and HH-3e jollygreeens. What you saw in the first movie, was actually a pavelow from the very Airforce Base I was stationed at. It was the most advanced helicopter in the world in its day and was involved in lots of Special Operations with Seals and other Special forces. Did anyone see xmen, first class? It was pretty good.

Should say "Rich uncle, well off on paper" He has been in life insurance sales entire life I guess there has been social issues between my uncle, and the grown up kids. Both my cousins are good. But I think my uncle did not want to have his capital assets "house and insurance policies and who knows what else" willed to his kids since my aunt passed away two - three years ago. So he married his employee of 20 years. He then GAVE his entire estate to her. Kids are upset. Can you not blame them? Anyway, when he will pass on, his casket will be laid to rest on top of his departed wife's casket. I have seen cases of estates ripping grown children apart from greed and so on. Is this typical?

Why do so many couples divorce?
bcguy replied to sweetiepie's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
I cannot explain it but, what I do know, if every one of my relatives except mabey one, had divorsed at least once. By the second or third marrige, its forever. I am wondering if maybe they had married for the wrong reason and did not know it? Maybe mistakes were made in the first marriage and were not repeated in the second or third marriage? In my old neighborhood in the 1980s, EVERYONE got divorced. Now my wises family quarrel like Tasmanian devils for the last 40 years, I wonder why they never got divorced? -
Dealing with Spouses Pornography addiction
bcguy replied to Singing_gal's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
If porn is the top producing revenue source online, then it is problebly the #1 addition in the world today. Take a look at this web site. It talks numbers one which country has the biggest revenue from it, and all bunch of other info. Internet Pornography Statistics - TopTenREVIEWS Now the question bears in mind, what causes men to seek it out. For me, I was exposed to it as a very early age. Decades before I joined the church, I lived with my parents that rarely went to church. Mom was the adventuresome person. She even would buy playboys and show them to my dad. For what ever reason, he never saw much interest in them, or any kind of pornography. I remember as a kid thay were selling all these playboy magazines in a garage sale, and it measured 3 feet high on the garage floor. This is just a big global issue. I wonder why men like to view it? Do thay have sexual cravings at the time? Mabey sexual tension thay want to release? Why do we have 6 billion people on this planet? -
Yes had lots of close calls. Forgot to mention, was following some one who was on the cb as well as me, I told him to slow down he was driving WAY to fast. He was doing 60 mph in a residential neighborhood in Tacoma. A small Toyota truck full of young guys, did a California stop, and pulled in front of him. I could see the guy in front of me hesitate "foot off the throttle" then slammed on the brakes. He launched into the windshield. The truck was broadsided bad! It was stolen from California and the driver was intoxicated. The guy I was following was in a full size Cadillac and hit that truck. It was pretty bad scene. The cement truck accident was pretty freaky. He jumped the curb twice. First into my lane of travel, then he went diagonal over his curb, into his lanes, and hit a light pole and knocked it down. Cement trucks have almost no give in its suspension, so I could see the driver bouncing up and down in the cab like a ping pong ball.

Only thing that drives me crazy, is shorts that are not long enough. I some times pull up the bottoms so thay do not stick though then the wife gets on my case about it. Other then that, I don't wear them at the gym because I don't wear the top because that is where I sweat the most.

Anyone here living in Astoria Oregon?. Im thinking of moving there..
bcguy replied to mash4077's topic in General Discussion
mmm this kind of gives me the idea of working on the Washington or Oregon coast for the summer. I built a shed using framing the same as a house. My first experience. Kind of liked it. I was even motivated to do it in the rain. Even on the coast. I bet it is cooler in the summer on the coast the inland. What is the economy like on the coast now that the use is pulling out of a recession? Also, watch Kindergarten Cop, then you will get a sense of what Astoria is like. -
In ten years I'll look back and laugh. (Or not.)
bcguy replied to Vort's topic in General Discussion
Lets see, my most embaresing moment, I was in PE highschool, up for bat at first base inside the gym with tennis racket. When the ball was pitched to me, I hit it as hard as I could with both hands. I was running to second base, when half the class was on the ground laughing out loud. My teacher was bursting in Laughter and I said what?? He said your out!! LOL your out!! See, I thought I nailed that tennis ball way to the back corner of the gym were it would get trapped by the gymnastics mats. Instead, I nailed that ball and it went square into the pitchers nuts! He was stooped over making baby steps with his eyes bulging out of his eye sockets. I was embarrassed because I did not know -
How much do you spend on utilites (gas, electric, water) per month?
bcguy replied to lizzy16's topic in General Discussion
If all of you can state the city and state your living in, I would be curios to know as the cost of living here is crazy. Our complex pays for the water, my guess its added to the rent. Electricity is 200-300 per two months for 2 bedroom duplex. Garbage free. Gasoline, 5.50 per gallon. Sales taxe 12 percent. Realeste, 1.2 million dollars for a 1,200 sq foot bungalow in west Vancouver" much less here in delta. -
If I come to the tri-cities, it will be to purchase a rust free truck. What is the humidity there like? is rust a problem with old 20-30 year old vehicles in the tri-cities?

A few years ago, put in 25k of drive across the lower part of British Columbia. The furthest east was a small town called Rossland BC and Trail BC. I Love that part of bc. So wild so remote!! The old part of Rossland and Trail looked like something out of a western. These buildings looked to be well over 100 years old. So I can imagine its that dry in eastern washington. The Columbia river passed though trail and just about 10 min drive away, into Washington state. Its kind of funny, but my brother who lives in Tacoma, goes to that part of Washington, just south of the border and south of trail. So now I know what it is like where he hunts for deer and other wild life.

Thought I had started a new topic Anyway, If I ever did go, I would fly in and not from Vancouver. Flights here are ridiculously overpriced. I have been to Cle Elem. Wow, really nice weather vs rainy Seattle on the same day! I have never been to the tri cities. I have been to salt lake city, phoenix, Albuquerque. Is the tri-cities like any of those cities? Is it all Brown like Albuquerque? I was honestly getting sick of seeing brown desert, there when I was stationed at my base during my entire tour

I guess I could have worded my topic more correctly. The topic is on people who converse or talk in vague terms. I have a friend who seems to have a bit of a issue of staying on topic and starts discussions or enters into discussion using vague terms. He is a nice guy, but I constantly have to ask him "Who is he?. For example, When "they" put this in my engine. I asked him "Who is they?? Another example: "HE" came here to pick up the shed parts to finish his project. Not sure if this is just laziness in conversation, or a real impediment in conversation. He knows the answer to "HE" since I would ask him who HE is. I asked him that questions and he got mad and stormed off. Sorry, he is a nice guy, but I have to constantly remind him that some of the details in our discussion are missing . Are these the kind of people who will always stay in the "vague discussion" limbo and not find ways to improve there communication skills? I could have worded my topic more correctly. "Do you know of a associate who talks to you in vague terms??" What is his personality like? He is a go cheerful very easy going person who never gets mad. He is a unemployed janitor who is looking for work and like to take his time in any project he starts. He lost his job when his employer asked that he work Saturdays at his job. He said no, I want to spend time with my wife on Saturdays. So, his company laid him off. Now the discussion of "wife tone deafness with husbands" My wife is a excellent communicator but, almost to much to where I have to filter out the relevant information with what I already know. Us men some times have what is termed "wife tone deafness". When a woman or wife speaks to us men, the conversation is not recalled by the husband if he is not looking at her or his attention is focused on another event such as watching tv. This topic was discussed on documentary some years back and it used a national football couch as a example. HE would be watching the news, and the wife would ask him to do something, and he would say "yes dear" then latter on, could not recollect what his wife said. I think this is a common issue with me. Your input is much appreciated!!

I do not think that is a term used in the Puget Sound. It is either Olympia,Tacoma,Fife,Federal way or Seattle. I could come some time but not sure.

I read this some time in the past and thought that was interesting. We were all one sex at one time, at the first stages "perhaps first to second week" and then hormones were introduces to turn the female fetus into a male fetus. Now, I cannot say for certain when in this stage or latter stages, but medical science has proved that the gay man and woman have with medical science "pet scan mri and so on" shown that there brains are wired backwards. What I am saying is, a gay mans brain is wired like a woman. And a gay woman's brain is wired like a mans. This may clearly not explain all cases of sexual orientation but, this is the case I suspect in most of the cases. Nothing can be done about it. It is genetically who they are. You will find something interesting with gay men, they get along MUCH better with woman then strait men.

A tornado the size like never seen since the 1950s has ripped though Joplin Mo killing 89 people. Its path of destruction was calculated to be 1/2 mile wide, 4 miles long. I belong to a forum and one of the members sister inlaw was on the phone with him when she started screaming and the line went dead. I dont know if Myers briggs would characterize some one as a personality type. I have been looking into personality profiling or character profiling to detect deception, fraud or criminal behavior in the first 20 min I meet some one. I have been scammed and ripped off in the past and now, kind of know what to look for when dealing with some one. I am a INTJ or INTP just depending in which direction I float to. I have taken a EXTENSIVE class program tice and both times INTP but, I think that also changes with age and perception of the world.
