-well, almost died at 3 years old in back of moms car "reason unknown I was blue". -Could have died "fell off bike inverted 8 feet in air" hitting concrete upside down. -Fell and hit the ground hard at a high rate of speed when neck and steering went loose on another bike. -Had a vision me and mom were about to broadside a car at a total blind spot in a intersection. Watched intersection like hawk as we approached, yelled mom "Pull HARD LEFT" we just nearly missed the car going 50 mph. -Almost got plowed into by a cement truck coming at me down a steep hill when the driver lost control. -Almost feel 15 feet off my helicopter backwards and hit the concrete "fast thinking for me to land on my knees on top of the aircraft" -Almost got broad sided and killed by a semi out of control but killed the driver a head of me. -Almost got shot when a gangster brazed a gun at me. Im still here so there has to be a really good purpose for me in this life time.

I have met a few. I almost left the church because of them. But realized its there problem not mine. I would not mind chewing strait some of them. After all, that all I experienced in the military.

I would be lieing if I said it will or will not happen. Honestly, at a early age and into my teens, I got so sick of hearing it from all the different faiths I don't care anymore. Why should I spend a life woring about something that may NEVER happen in my life time? Honestly...I just let it go and got on with my life. If it happens, it happens its over with.

Well it is official; I am never attending my Ward again!
bcguy replied to The_Phoenix's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
I would not move after all, our ward boundary changed, and my wife, who has been in her ward since she was born, now has to go to our new ward. This was three years ago. As emotional as my wife can be, she resisted, hardly went at all for at least a year. Eventually she got used to it, and she has the calling in the ward. Without change, there is no growth. I firmly believe that is true. Ward may be dissolved, but are you going to be still attending with the same members? -

Interesting article in Seattle times. I think the new University of Washington president is related to Brigham Young. Fear of Mormons and the new U.W. president | Crosscut.com

A Little Bit on Honeybees and Bee Keeping
bcguy replied to Still_Small_Voice's topic in General Discussion
Watched a documentary on it. We need bees. Bees are responsible for 2/3 of our agriculture. I was also watching Japanese pollinate flowers by hand. It was estimated that if bees were to die off in the united states, it would cost billions of dollars to hire people to hand pollinate fruit flowers. It was a good documentary and not sure if the problem is getting worse, or getting better. I wished I had a hive. I wonder if I can have one on BChydro power line property? I guess I could ask. -
Inside Bin Ladden mind and his interpretation of islam
bcguy posted a topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
I just read this on cnn. Very interesting. So all these attacks on Islam followers in the us was most likely unjustified. Bin Laden's theology a radical break with traditional Islam – CNN Belief Blog - CNN.com Blogs -
It very well could prevent a guy from going out and having sex with woman. It is a release of sexual tension I figure. Yes, its not right but so you cannot control human nature? With time, the hormones will wear off and other substitutes will be used to rid of the sexual tension.

A few points to remember. Never wear synthetic cloths. It will melt to your skin in a aicraft fire. Wear only cotton or leather. Wear good running shoes. Good to use when walking on the wing of a aircraft, or uneven debris littered in the center isle of a aircraft.

Pam, Sorry but what does your work do?

That one is to the point and pretty funny and of course, stops the "please pull for me attitude". I don't think this guy will call me again. That is okay. He is putting his foot into his mouth. He calls me on first vehicle. Great deal. I charged him with accurate diagnosis and he saved a bundle. Second, then third, then now forth car. He had three cars he cannot sell. MMM just because you scored on the first one, does not mean the others will sell quick. Anyway, I wont bring religion into it but will make it clear, no unethical behavior allowed in our relationship.

I am not to totally concerned, except in a 4x4 forum where there are there share of rednecks but, LDS have been known to be in high positions in government and society. Was there ever a moment you felt nervous about telling some one you are LDS? I recently was doing some automotive work for a customer. He kept being friendly to me and paying me for inspections and repairs. But he got caught up in a lie with a buying customer who wanted to buy his truck. He said that his mechanic "me" did a inspection on the truck and it was fine. He called me to tell the customer I had inspected the truck and it was good condition. I told him no, I will not do that and only thing I did do was repair the starter and bleed the clutch. He kept pressing me to pull him out of this rut "lie" and say to the customer " truck is in good shape" so he can sell it. I called the buyer, and the buyer said it was under his impression that I had inspected it. I said no, just the repairs. Anyway, there was almost a point, I was going to say "I am sorry, but that is unethical what you are asking me to do. Because I am Mormon, it is against my morals to say a truck is mechanically sound, when in reality, I never inspected it" I never did go that far, but I wonder what his reaction would be. Have you ever stood your grounds on Morales, ethical issues and being in your faith as a reason why you are substantiating your issues? Thanks for your input!

I said to my wife, well if these dogs are in the radiation area of Sundai Japan, then chances are dogs are radioactive. Thats okay she says! I said, okay, do you want a dog that is radioactive and glows? My wife says, "sure!, at least we can use it as our night light! " That gave me a good laugh. :) Shelties Rescued Japan | Moral Low Ground

In light of my recent decision, should I serve at the Temple for a day?
bcguy replied to The_Phoenix's topic in Advice Board
We had one person protest outside our temple in langley before it was closed to the public for dedication. Finally some one from the church, invited this protestor inside the church to see if what has been told by his congregation was the truth. After taking a tour of the temple he said " This is NOT what my chuirch told me, Thay lied to me!" and he left the temple grounds in disbelief. -
Off-Topic: Anyone Ever Try Lucid Dreaming?
bcguy replied to Melissa569's topic in General Discussion
This is a very good subject that "while not always controlling my dreams, have been lucid and I have even remembered my first dream when I was three years old in the late 60s. I have always been a intense dreamer. Often, I am either looking though my own eyes in the dream, or looking at my self from another perspective. I also have two way conversations with people in my dream. Intense dreams are actually good for the body and mind. As a doctor told me, it is the brains ability to heal and rest its self. It also is very good for the by "in my case, it really does give me a nearly complete sleep cycle" which I really have been needing these past few insomniac years. My dreams are either to strange or weird, or scarey. So bacily, I welcome lucid dreams. It is another plane of living such as flying, which I did by flapping my arms or other strange planes of existence in the dream world. -

Just because we have a atheist or, non church member needed me to replace electrical outlets and I could not finish it on a Saturday, does not give my wife a right to tell me to finish them because one of the board members in our complex wanted me to do them. she said, "its a service to our complex. Yes you volunteer to get that unit ready for occupancy, but it is still a service." It is not a service! it is work on a Sunday. Besides, its not paid work we as a co-op try to keep the cost down by doing our own work, other then hiring contractors. Anyone ever have some member who tried to substantiate something like this? Especially on one Easter?

That is gods domain! It is written, that anyone man who judges another man, ye he be judged to. When Jesus came across a small collection of men standing next to a woman who was about to be stoned, he said "Ye who have sinned, toss the first stone" They all dropped there stones because ALL mankind has sinned.

Do people in the wild take care of animals? I think prolonging the life of a animal just depends. If its in pain, and no cure, I think its the right thing to do.
