  1. A helicopter loses power over a remote scottish island and makes an emergency landing. Luckily, there is a cottage nearby, so the pilot knocks on the door. "Is there a mechanic in the area?" he asks the woman who opens the door. She thinks for a minute..."No, but we do have a McArdle and a McKay near by."
  2. I do not know if I would like RS or not...I have never experienced it. I go from Primary teacher to Nursery to YW to Primary presidency to YW pres. to Nursery...over and over...
  3. I get 'the call' every two months :). Mine is also an in demand, rare type. I have been giving six times a year for the past five years, but the last few times I have felt really light-headed and actually passed out one time. I am going to cut back to four times a year...must be getting too old...
  4. LOL...I have been to Utah twice; been in several homes there and did not see one cow or rooster...(not in their kitchens)...but here is south Georgia almost every kitchen has said decor...LDS and non.
  5. ...I agree...but then I also think that, as he is such a wonderful young man and role model, with so many following his career/life, how great then would it be, for him TO give/serve those two years. To show, by example, that though there may be difficulties, he is willingly putting it all aside to serve the Lord and spread His word. I know that I would think "wow, what a wonderful young man, actually living his beliefs."
  6. My sister will be buried the next full day after her death...no embalming. I will be cremated, because I have always, since a child, wanted that. We are both organ donors, and we will be buried on our family farm. No fancy headstones, no hoop-la.
  7. We have a member in our Ward who attends every Sunday, wearing her mask.
  8. I love animals, period! I do, however, prefer dogs. I have raised Labs, Siamese cats, parakeets, and chickens. At the moment I have four dogs, three cats, three hens and a rooster...and fish. I have rescued rabbits (several), an iguana, hamsters...have yet to meet an animal I did not like, but can not say the same about some humans I have come into contact with.
  9. Exactly!!! Regular is just toooo sickingly sweet. Diet pop is just right! :)
  10. I would LOVE to slime you...but you would most likely retaliate be shooting me with an ice bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. PICKY PICKY...okay, I stand corrected. I should have said...thank goodness I do not have to eat...cows, small rodents, insects, wolves, bats...
  12. Hello...:)...welcome "back", and WELCOME to the site.
  13. This is one of my pet peeves, also. I would, however, go one step further to improve ... to... I have two apples. :)
  14. Hello Jenny...I like to read also...:)...WELCOME!
  15. I am sure that has happened, but I have known several young women, who DID have "worthy" boyfriends, and chose to serve a mission. It is not an either/or choice. I think more of our young women would go, if it were not for the extra years they have to wait.
  16. :) Hello...Welcome to the site.
  17. Starmander You live in the steppes of Prince Edward Island, and your diet consists mostly of grapes, rocks and tea. Characteristics (Combat and Non-combat) You can resist sand. You can eat broken glass. You have a force field. You can breathe fire. You can shoot slime. You can throw lava. natural enemy is Lickitung. (Whew...a vegetarian diet...:))
  18. Good for her. I wish the age for serving a mission was the same for both sexes. Really never understood why the difference for the women. My family encourages both our boys and our girls to serve. I want my granddaughter to serve a mission as much as I wish my grandson to. There is plenty of time, after her return, to date...to meet someone...and have manymany years of married life.
  19. The Dell computer ad where they are singing "Lollipop, lollipop" HATE it, but it stays in my head, even though I click off of it as fast as possible...lol
  20. Well, regardless of whose job...etc., we are short (missing two who just quit coming, with three that attend sporadically, without getting a sub or letting the Presidency know). Two have asked to be released, but will not be released till another is called. In the interim, neither one has been back to Church. So, yes, I would have rather had them refuse the calling, knowing they did not want it, than to accept...who was served by their accepting?
