It certainly says in the scriptures that Mormon was the one who buried them at Cumorah, and it also says that Mormon only "gave" Moroni the Small Plates of Nephi and the abridgement he made of King Benjamin to 4th Nephi. Moroni finished the record of his father, abridged the Jaredite record (which means he unearthed the plates at a later date), and then he wrote his own book, Moroni. For the hill Mormon buried the record in not to be in New York means that Moroni took (presumably) everything his father buried, without those things being given to him by his father, and moved them a long distance by himself to New York. Let's also remember that the land changed greatly after the time of Nephi, son of Nephi, when Christ came. And, that the last "struggle" happened over the course of many years. During that time the Nephites were "fleeing" from the Lamanites with great haste. Mormon 5: 7 And it came to pass that we did again take to flight, and those whose flight was swifter than the Lamanites’ did escape, and those whose flight did not exceed the Lamanites’ were swept down and destroyed. They had time to travel across this land many times over. At this last battle at Cumorah they still had 230,000 men in the Nephite army with their wives and children. Mormon 6: 6 ...therefore I made this record out of the plates of Nephi, and hid up in the hill Cumorah all the records which had been entrusted to me by the hand of the Lord, save it were these few plates which I gave unto my son Moroni. 7 And it came to pass that my people, with their wives and their children, did now behold the armies of the Lamanites marching towards them; and with that awful fear of death which fills the breasts of all the wicked, did they await to receive them. "Hid" is past tense. It just doesn't seem logical to me, nor does the spirit seem to whisper, that Moroni would take the chance and unearth the records his father made, seeing he never knew if he was going to be caught from day to day, and move them across the country. Moroni 1: 1 Now I, Moroni, after having made an end of abridging the account of the people of Jared, I had supposed not to have written more, but I have not as yet perished; and I make not myself known to the Lamanites lest they should destroy me. 2 For behold, their wars are exceedingly fierce among themselves; and because of their hatred they put to death every Nephite that will not deny the Christ. 3 And I, Moroni, will not deny the Christ; wherefore, I wander whithersoever I can for the safety of mine own life. 4 Wherefore, I write a few more things, contrary to that which I had supposed; for I had supposed not to have written any more; but I write a few more things, that perhaps they may be of worth unto my brethren, the Lamanites, in some future day, according to the will of the Lord. To "wander withersoever" is very different than "take to flight." If it was between the army led by Mormon or Moroni by himself, it seems more logical that Mormon and the army under "flight" would move the record that great of distance. There was no way for one person to carry everything that was buried in the box. It seems Joseph, being large in stature, had difficulty even getting just the plates around under much the same "protect them" mode that Mormon or Moroni would have been under. Again, it will not shake my testimony no matter where the true location of the Cumorah of the Nephites was. But, just looking at the text within the Book of Mormon and the situation of the Nephites, it makes much more sense that Mormon buried them in New York after "taking flight" from where he lived, and Moroni "wandered" around that area and returned to that location only when it was safe, never intending to unearth all the items in the box. Sometimes the answer is right under our noses and we look for harder answers. Evidence outside the Book of Mormon has never proven anything contained within. I see this as no different. If the text gives clues as to what happened, that's the first and best evidence we have.

Rabbit trail incoming... Hemi, have you figured out which of the 12 were the 3 Nephites? 3 Nephi 19: 4 And it came to pass that on the morrow, when the multitude was gathered together, behold, Nephi and his brother whom he had raised from the dead, whose name was Timothy, and also his son, whose name was Jonas, and also Mathoni, and Mathonihah, his brother, and Kumen, and Kumenonhi, and Jeremiah, and Shemnon, and Jonas, and Zedekiah, and Isaiah—now these were the names of the disciples whom Jesus had chosen—and it came to pass that they went forth and stood in the midst of the multitude. It's there if you have ears to hear and eyes to see. :)

And, now that we know that, check this out... Speaking of the Small Plates of Nephi, Nephi said: 1 Nephi 9: 5 Wherefore, the Lord hath commanded me to make these plates for a wise purpose in him, which purpose I know not. I bet Mormon appreciated that Nephi did it, and it appears we get a much more spiritual account than Mormon's original abridgement of the Large Plates of Nephi from Lehi to King Benjamin.

Well, I discovered something interesting last night, something I never had supposed. Mormon made an abridgement of ALL the Large Plates of Nephi, and then replaced his abridgement from 1 Nephi to Omni with the Small Plates of Nephi, right before he gave the plates to Moroni. Watch this: Mormon 6: 1 And now I finish my record concerning the destruction of my people, the Nephites. And it came to pass that we did march forth before the Lamanites. 5 And *when three hundred and eighty and four years had passed away, we had gathered in all the remainder of our people unto the land of Cumorah. 6 And it came to pass that when we had gathered in all our people in one to the land of Cumorah, behold I, Mormon, began to be old; and knowing it to be the last struggle of my people, and having been commanded of the Lord that I should not suffer the records which had been handed down by our fathers, which were sacred, to fall into the hands of the Lamanites, (for the Lamanites would destroy them) therefore I made this record out of the plates of Nephi, and hid up in the hill Cumorah all the records which had been entrusted to me by the hand of the Lord, save it were these few plates which I gave unto my son Moroni. Now, I am the kind of person that can read something, and then later not be able to tell you a specific thing about it, but I remember all the ideas and principles that were taught. Read verse 6 very close, this is where I got my idea from that Mormon buried the plates then Moroni went back later and retrieved some of them when it was safe: knowing it to be the last struggle of my people He did believe they would all die, or at least that the plates would fall into the hands of the Lamanites after the battle: and having been commanded of the Lord that I should not suffer the records which had been handed down by our fathers, which were sacred, to fall into the hands of the Lamanites, (for the Lamanites would destroy them) He hid them so they would not be destroyed. But, look at this: therefore I made this record out of the plates of Nephi He made his abridgment, he thought, so he could bury the records he was commanded to protect, and give his son a part of the record to take with him. If Moroni lost that record (Mormon's abridgement)and it was destroyed, then the originals were still preserved and he kept his end of the promise to protect them so they could come forth at a later day. and hid up in the hill Cumorah all the records which had been entrusted to me by the hand of the Lord, save it were these few plates which I gave unto my son Moroni So, Mormon did hide up all the records given to him, but made an abridgement to give to Moroni. My guess is he did this because he knew the importance of having scriptures to read to stay close to the Lord, and he knew Moroni would be the last survivor and wander for many years. Now, let's switch to Word of Mormon. WoMormon: 1 And now I, Mormon, being about to deliver up the record which I have been making into the hands of my son Moroni, behold I have witnessed almost all the destruction of my people, the Nephites. It says this was about 385, which would be right because it was after the battle of Cumorah, which the text says was after 384 had passed away. It could be a little later than 385, but not much, I suppose. Now, here's a key: being about to deliver up the record which I have been making What was Mormon making? He was making an abridgement of the Large Plates of Nephi, and he was finished. This included from Lehi through 4th Nephi. He was about to give it to Moroni because it was complete. Watch: 3 And now, I speak somewhat concerning that which I have written; for after I had made an abridgment from the plates of Nephi, down to the reign of this king Benjamin, of whom Amaleki spake, I searched among the records which had been delivered into my hands, and I found these plates, which contained this small account of the prophets, from Jacob down to the reign of this king Benjamin, and also many of the words of Nephi. This threw me at first, until the Spirit opened it up to me. If you consider that Mormon was finished with his abridgement, and was about to give it to Moroni, then you can understand what Mormon is saying here. And now, I speak somewhat concerning that which I have written; for after I had made an abridgment from the plates of Nephi, down to the reign of this king Benjamin, of whom Amaleki spake, He's not saying he ONLY made an abridgement of the Large Plates of Nephi from Nephi to King Benjamin, he's saying he made a full abridgement, but he is speaking specifically about the part from Nephi to King Benjamin. Here's how I know, look... I searched among the records which had been delivered into my hands, and I found these plates, which contained this small account of the prophets, from Jacob down to the reign of this king Benjamin, and also many of the words of Nephi He searched among the records he buried and found the Small Plates of Nephi, which we know he did not abridge, but just "inserted" into his abridgement. Remember how Mormon was given the plates. He did not receive them from a person like everyone else, who could have instructed him on all the plates that were there. He dug them up from the hill Shim. Mormon did not have time to read all the plates until now, because of all the wars, and he just now found the Small Plates of Nephi, shortly before he passed his FULL ABRIDGEMENT to Moroni. 4 And the things which are upon these plates pleasing me, because of the prophecies of the coming of Christ; and my fathers knowing that many of them have been fulfilled; yea, and I also know that as many things as have been prophesied concerning us down to this day have been fulfilled, and as many as go beyond this day must surely come to pass— He found them and liked them because they spoke more about Christ and about the prophecies of Christ. Why is that? 1 Nephi 6: 3 And it mattereth not to me that I am particular to give a full account of all the things of my father, for they cannot be written upon these plates, for I desire the room that I may write of the things of God. 4 For the fulness of mine intent is that I may persuade men to come unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be saved. 5 Wherefore, the things which are pleasing unto the world I do not write, but the things which are pleasing unto God and unto those who are not of the world. 6 Wherefore, I shall give commandment unto my seed, that they shall not occupy these plates with things which are not of worth unto the children of men. No wonder Mormon liked the Small Plates of Nephi better! So, what did Mormon do? He swapped out his abridgement of Lehi-Amaleki for the Small Plates of Nephi. Watch: WoMormon: 5 Wherefore, I chose these things (the Small Plates of Nephi), to finish my record upon them, which remainder of my record I shall take from the plates of Nephi; and I cannot write the hundredth part of the things of my people. 6 But behold, I shall take these plates, which contain these prophesyings and revelations, and put them with the remainder of my record, for they are choice unto me; and I know they will be choice unto my brethren. He chose the Small Plates of Nephi to use instead of his abridgement, and put them with his abridgement of King Benjamin through 4th Nephi. Tada! Mystery solved. Then, he commented on, or filled in the gap between, what happened from Amaleki to King Benjamin, which is what the Words of Mormon are. He tied the Small Plates of Nephi together with his abridgment of King Benjamin till the end, and inserted it between the two for a smooth transition.

I believe I found more as I was reading last night. Words of Mormon: 1 And now I, Mormon, being about to deliver up the record which I have been making into the hands of my son Moroni, behold I have witnessed almost all the destruction of my people, the Nephites. It says he wrote this in AD 385. So, that goes with the time I was thinking, but it means I overlooked that he did deliver them to Moroni, or at least part of them, or he at least intended to. I'll study on it and get back to you. :)

Psalms 23: 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. "Valley of the shadow of death" is a mistranslation from the Hebrew. It doesn't mention death, just a valley of great darkness. Do you think David saw the vision of the tree of life, or some of it? Or, ,maybe he knew the analogies but never saw the vision? :)

1 And it came to pass that I spake unto my brethren, saying: Let us go up again unto Jerusalem, and let us be faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord; for behold he is mightier than all the earth, then why not mightier than Laban and his fifty, yea, or even than his tens of thousands? Nephi nails it here. How many times do we not turn to the Lord when we have a trial because we think it's 1) too small, 2) too big, 3) we can deal with it ourselves? Thinking God won't help us for whatever reason must be very disappointing to Him, after all the time and effort He has gone through to tell us to ask in all things. I can think of times in my past, even recent past, where I was concerned over something and thought maybe the Lord wants me to do this on my own because it's so small. Other times I have thought I don't have enough faith to ask the Lord to help resolve this problem because what would have to be done it too large. I hate to make a corny analogy, especially a movie analogy, but I think of it like this... In Empire Strike Back when Luke couldn't lift the ship out of the swamp, he said, "Rocks and stones are one thing... but this is totally different. It's too big." Yoda said, "No! It's only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned." Then he explains how the force flows from the rock, and the tree, and even between the land and the ship. Well, then it seems silly to think of it as too big if the land is being compared. I think we often do this. We forget how "big" the Lord is and that He created all things. There is a way for Him to help us if we beleive. We need to remember that nothing is too big for the Lord. He wiped out an entire army, the greatest army on earth at the time, without lifting a weapon. There is nothing an individual can't do if it is the Lord's will.

The Book of Mormon: A Book for Our Day
Justice replied to Heather's topic in Book of Mormon Scripture Reading
I have found that you need both. The Book of Mormon is different when you read it fast. You need those times when you read and study isolated books and chapters. But, I believe everyone needs to speed read it through at least once. I recently read 15 chapters a day, sometimes more, and picked up on so many things you just can't get by going slow and studying. However, isolating chapters and verses is still my favorite way to read it. -
It comes down to why you pray. If you pray with real intent, not to be heard or seen of men, but to express thanks to God, then prayer is always acceptable.

After long (years) and serious contemplation, I believe there are 3 possible great causes to everything that happens. The best way I can describe it is to use the weather as an example. 1) God created the environment so that storms can and will happen. They are a natural consequense of the creation and each storm may be a result of nature. 2) God can produce a storm at His command whenever desired. 3) God can stop or prevent a storm whenever desired. Challenges and trials in life are the same way. They can be the simple result of our actions and choices. They can be a direct result of God's hand. They can be the result of another's actions and not prevented by God from falling on us. In other words, God is in control can can cause or prevent any storm or trial in our life. But, just because there is a storm it does not mean He necessarily created it to fall on us.

How do I answer some of these anti - questions??
Justice replied to Michael Spikes05's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
The best place to "remember" scriptures, imo, is the Church web site. Go to the Web based scriptures there and you can search for anything. I don't even use my paper scriptures anymore unless I'm not near a computer. -
I think even people who have read the Book of Mormon many times would be surprised just how many times this promise is repeated in the Book of Mormon. Are you reading the Book of Mormon in the hopes that it's true? Or, are you looking for more faults? King Benjamin said: Mosiah 2: 9 ...My brethren, all ye that have assembled yourselves together, you that can hear my words which I shall speak unto you this day; for I have not commanded you to come up hither to trifle with the words which I shall speak, but that you should hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view. If you do not read the Book of Mormon to this end it will never be anything more than just another book. So, you might say: Aeas, you that read the words which I shall write; I did not write them so that you will trifle with the words which I shall write, but that you should hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your heart that ye may understand, and your mind that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view. It's a most curious book... not like any other. The power in it is in believing what God can do, and not what we think He will do.

God said "vengence is mine." He most certainly does punish the wicked. His goal is to bring them to repentance and remembrance so that they can be saved. He does not do it with a vengeful heart, punishing just to punish. If nothing else, He withdraws His Spirit and leaves man to themselves, which means men will always fall, or even remain in their fallen state.

Sure, here it is. This is not a unique teaching to the Book of Mormon. Matthew 25: 31 ¶ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eeternal. Of course, being on the right hand is symbolic of many things. But, scriptures teach those who are to inherit eternal life, or the Kingdom of the Father, are "on the right hand."

The first commandment given to man is to multiply and replenish the earth. I don't think that means you have to do so NOW. But, it should be everyone's goal to keep this commandment. Therefore, the need for marriage.

Is it require to have a body for lesser than Celestial?
Justice replied to Hemidakota's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Ben said only those who were born into this life and received a mortal body will be resurrected. He said that those who were cast out of heaven and did not receive a mortal body cannot be resurrected. To which you said all will be resurrected. It sounded as if you were disagreeing with Ben. -

Jesus Christ. :) John 1: 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: -

Resurrected means you at least had to have a mortal body. One can't very well be resurrected into a mortal body they never had. -
I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This isn't another Sunday meeting testimony, I am speaking from the heart. Christ did appear to these people and He did teach them His gospel. There is revelation in the Book of Mormon. If there is anything that seems new in the Book of Mormon, or seems to be a 180 degree turn from what is in the Bible, then it is the weakness of those trying to understand. In the simple yet profound words of Nephi: 2 Nephi 25: 26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. 2 Nephi 33: 6 I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell. Surely there is good in the book. Moroni 7: 16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God. Surely the book is of God.

Well, that's the entire premise behind why the Book of Mormon, or any work of scripture for that matter, can be considered simply a translation into a new language and not just a commentary... the spirit is the key. The Spirit knows what words were written and knows how to convery the messages from one language to another, independant of the knowledge of the one doing the translating. It sounds like you know it's possible, you just don't think it is? The Book of Mormon only had 1 translator... Joseph Smith. He said he was given a Urim and Thummim by which he would translate from the Spirit by the gift and power of God. He had a second grade education, and even if he had a PhD in language translation, he would still have had to rely on the Spirit because Nephi said his language was one that only they used. As I said earlier, either the book is true or it isn't. There is only one way to determine that. You have to have faith and be believing that God can make it happen, and not read it to trifle with the words. The question is not "is it a commentary by Joseph Smith" because he did not have the know-how nor intellect at that young age to understand one iota of the language of the Nephites. The question is "we have the Book of Mormon, was it by God's hand?" Quite frankly, it is impossible that Joseph Smith came up with the Book of Mormon on his own, and even with the aid of all those who claimed to help. But, the direction one should take to determine whether it's true or not should follow the path outlined in the text itself, not any other way. No one ever said one can determne it's truth by man's understanding, like by proving it's a commentary by logical means. One would have to know the original text in reformed Egyptian to know if it's a commentary. The English version IS our original. Most of the Book claims to be an abridgement, which isn't quite the same thing as a commentary. What is important is that it consists of words by people who actually lived, telling events that actually happened to them. Whether or not it's commentary that Jesus appeared to them and instructed them is all but irrelevant when compared to the point that it claims Christ's appeared to them and taught them His gospel. That it's "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" should impress our minds much more than whether or not it's commentary or abridgement of actual events.
-
So, when a literary work is translated from one language to another it is considered a commentary of the previous language? Wasn't the Bible translated into English from other languages? But, you say it's a commentary too. I'm not sure what to say to that. That is something I would never reason through. It makes absolutely no sense to me. I think it's logic at it's worst. How about a comment on the words of Nephi I posted about how the Lord can speak to whomever He chooses? Agree? Disagree?

Interesting that you would trust the site you quoted from, but not one dedicated to the rebuttal toward the very sites you quote from. I'm not saying you should trust either, I'm just saying it's interesting you can trust one and not the other.

Nephi speaks to comments like this from the dust: 2 Nephi 9: 28 O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish. 29 But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God. I would like to make 2 comments about this statement: Quote: You obviously haven't read the Book of Mormon if you assume it's a book of Biblical commentary. It is a commentary because it's not in the supposed original language. If this is supposed to be logic, which it looks like logic because it is structured as such, it is severely flawed. 1) To say one thing is not true, or "commentary," because it is not written in a "supposed" "original" language would mean you would have to pick one "original language" and discount all the rest of the writings ever made by man. Are you saying anyone who ever wrote a journal in a language other than this "supposed" "original" language is not writing about their own life, but about the writing of another person who wrote in this original language? How can it be that the language one uses makes anything flawed or false? Either they are writing about factual events or they are not... the language they use has absolutely nothing to do with it. Whoever taught you this is not as intelligent as they think they are, and the above scripture is directed at them. 2) The Book of Mormon is NOT a commentary on the Bible. It was not meant to be when it was written, nor was it meant to be when it was translated into English, or any of the other hundreds of languages it's available in today. It is a group of people who lived in a different place who wrote of what they saw and heard, and what they read from prophets who wrote long ago. Are you saying that the New Testament is merely a commentary of the Old Testament since nearly all of the writers quote from it? I started to not reply, because I don't really have anything good or nice to say about your comment. However, I really have no malicious intent. My only intent is to expose bad logic that attempts to discredit a book that is as true as any other book on earth. For one who is not familiar with it to discredit it because they don't want to give it an "honest" read, and take the simple challenge it offers to all honest seekers of truth, is something I can't sit back and watch. It is nothing personal. My comments are directed at your actions and words, and not at who or what you are. Good people often make honest mistakes. Something tells me you aren't reading my posts; *really* reading my posts with the intention to learn from others who may know. It appears your mind is already made up, and we have discussed the danger in that already. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. If you reject it you reject what it testifies of. I will post all of chapter 29 of 2nd Nephi with the intent that you will ponder it and actually read it. If it is logic you like, it doesn't get any better than this... and it is speaking to you! Listen for the answer to the language thing, and whether or not it matters what language a truth is written in: 1 But behold, there shall be many—at that day when I shall proceed to do a marvelous work among them, that I may remember my covenants which I have made unto the children of men, that I may set my hand again the second time to recover my people, which are of the house of Israel; 2 And also, that I may remember the promises which I have made unto thee, Nephi, and also unto thy father, that I would remember your seed; and that the words of your seed should proceed forth out of my mouth unto your seed; and my words shall hiss forth unto the ends of the earth, for a standard unto my people, which are of the house of Israel; 3 And because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible. 4 But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a Bible; and it shall proceed forth from the Jews, mine ancient covenant people. And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them? Yea, what do the Gentiles mean? Do they remember the travails, and the labors, and the pains of the Jews, and their diligence unto me, in bringing forth salvation unto the Gentiles? 5 O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people. 6 Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews? 7 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth? 8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also. 9 And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever. 10 Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written. 11 For I command all men, both in the east and in the west, and in the north, and in the south, and in the islands of the sea, that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be written I will judge the world, every man according to their works, according to that which is written. 12 For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews and they shall write it; and I shall speak unto the Nephites and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto all nations of the earth and they shall write it. 13 And it shall come to pass that the Jews shall have the words of the Nephites, and the Nephites shall have the words of the Jews; and the Nephites and the Jews shall have the words of the lost tribes of Israel; and the lost tribes of Israel shall have the words of the Nephites and the Jews. 14 And it shall come to pass that my people, which are of the house of Israel, shall be gathered home unto the blands of their possessions; and my word also shall be gathered in one. And I will show unto them that fight against my word and against my people, who are of the house of Israel, that I am God, and that I covenanted with Abraham that I would remember his seed iforever. Sound logic. Something tells me you won't try to refute any of this logic, because it is sound and you know it can't be. The *only* question is whether or not you are willing to listen.

Not just sickness, mental or physical, but there will also be no death. :)
