Just keep loving him, you never know when they grow out of ther "phase" but teengers have a habit of growing up over time. So many don't think that their parents care about them, don't let yours be one of them. When my oldest boy was a teenager, he took the rap for a friend, paid his dues and kept his mouth shut...... years later when we talked about his problems he had growing up...... He told me he didn't do what he was accused of doing (that time) then he said that he knew that I would always love him no matter what, but the other kid would get kicked out and disowned for breaking the rules...... I have good kids :) And I did have to come down hard on him a time or two.... tough love we called it. Moral of the story is..... let your son know he is loved, even when you want to pull your hair out and make a rope and tie him up with it. How you treat your son WILL make a difference in some point of his life. Hang in there....they DO grow up! :)

Back in the day when I could watch the Conference on TV (or could actually hear it on my computer) I was in awe when I sat and watched the prophet talk. And there would always be a talk from someone who should have had my name on the top of thier talk that said "Listen up LINDY, this talk pertains to YOUR life" I always get something out of it..... but than again....I think that is what the talks are for

Hello oddie :) Welcome to ldstalk! I am a big fan of your moms.... it is great to have her here :) As for the myspace thing..... I think that every parent needs to know what kind of "friends" their children find in life...and on the internet. SAFETY first! I agree with those who say that if they didn't' care...they wouldn't be interested. Hats off to those moms and dads who love and protect their children however they can!

Thanks Mrs S for sharing that.... it brings tears to my eyes... knowing that the pain and the sorrows we go thru in life are not nearly the pain and suffering that Christ went thru for US. Kind of humbles you a little when you (meaning I) whine about feeing badly about something.... and didn't have to go thru the extemee agony that Christ went thru. I'm sorry that your dad had to go thru that.... it would be hard on all involved... just the worry alone.

But allmosthumble... you asked for opinions.... your first post mentioned that which should have applied to EVERYONE not just non Christians. I don't think that anyone thinks they are wrong with what they think.... cause it's what they think.So what in your allmosthumble opinion should all Christian's agree upon?

I know that sometimes parents do things that others think are wrong...I never saw the episode myself...but I can't see the man dangeling his child over a croc as M. Jackson dangeled his baby over a balcony.. S. Irwin took chances with his own life... but I'm sure that he never would have intentonally put his child in danger. The man loved his family as much (I mean more) as he loved his animal world. I mourn with the rest of those who have enjoyed learning about animals thru his eyes.
