  1. I have a friend who bleeds Packer blood. My house roots for the Broncos, and any team who plays against the Patriots and Seahawks. :-)
  2. Doing great Pam. Had some frustrating years dealing with life, losing both my parents within 9 months of each other, dealing with my stubborn adult children, but it's all good now. Two of my 4 children have matured into responsible adults...... the other two have matured into adults. :-) I tried to get back into the online grove here and there- but failed. I work with hubby everyday in our little business, and have been teaching in Primary and youth Sunday School for so many years- I need some additional adult connection with the Church. :-) How are things with you?
  3. I would proudly wear an orange and blue jersey if I had one! :-)
  4. No Pam NOOO...... say it ain't so!
  5. So many prayers were said for Texas, so many more prayers forthcoming.
  6. Personally I think it's ridiculous what these groups want to tear down. We went through a lot of turmoil during our countries growth. I had ancestors fighting on both sides in the Civil War, they all fought for what they believed in. Those groups who want to hate and destroy just to make their opinions heard.... I shutter to think of how far our country will let them go. How much more hate and destruction they will allow before it's considered enough.
  7. I was a bit taken aback myself by the support from the Church. How can they support something that is so wrong? Then I really thought about it, knowing that Church leaders had some reason for their "support". The word that jumped out at me was 'respectful'. I can understand them wanting us to be respectful of our errant brothers and sisters. We may not agree with their choices, but we shouldn't give up hope they will come back to be the best they can be.
  8. I figured I should post a howdy do to my old friends on my old board!

     HOWWWWDY ALL!

  10. OH LDSpunkrocker... WELCOME to the board! Just a snipet of lines that jumped out at me in your intro. You are on the right track...I think you have remarkable courage to do what you have so far. As for the struggling with some word of wisdom problems... there are a lot more who struggle than people think. I have heard that what does'nt kill us will only make us stronger. And I fully believe that God has a special place in His heart for those who stray and struggle to find there way back. And I KNOW that those who have to work to find their way back, learn more, understand more and feel closer to the Spirit than a lot in the Church who just do just enough to slide by. lol.... I too think we all in afterthought wished we had listened to our parents in some instances.

  21. Welcome to the board Angel! I love your avitar pic! :) I wasn't always LDS... I joined the church after a lot of soul searching and prayer, I grew up with an agnostic and an atheist, so I kind of understand. My first thought about you asking for that Book of Mormon was.... there is something there that you are missing and that little inner self knows it's in the book somewhere to be found. UK huh? A little more moist there than it is here eh? Anywho, again welcome to the board, and I hope you find what you need or are looking for again.
