  1. I understand that we are human and make mistakes and bad decisions.. I have made many myslef.. and will make many more.. where I take issue is how many are involved in making this bad decision there are lets see 1,2,3,4,5,6, at least 6 adults who know better and are supporting this, 3 are in the church authority - Bishopric and Stake presidency
  2. I am just glad that that is no longer the Bishop I am going to seek my temple recommend from for my Temple Sealing..
  3. My husband and I have gone through the "proper channels" in regards to my UNMARRIED brother living in the same house with the Bishop and his daughter ( whom my brother is dating) . Nothing has been done about it and its been 3 months.. I have been a member of this church for less than a year.. and I have seen so much hypocrisy and inconsistency with church leaders.. really speaks poorly of the organization.. and its not in just one ward.. Its my testimony to the Gospel that keeps me here.. otherwise I would have left. sorry if I'm whining .. I had to talk about it so I could work on letting it go..

    UFC and MMA

You are right, in the ring there are rules, but the techniques and fighting styles are valuable..and I have even learned some of those techniques. What they do in the ring can be done to protect yourself... you may have a gun but if you are holding it to my head I would hope I would be able to execute the moves I know to defend myself.. the moves would work, its my knowledge of them that may go wrong -My husband does spar with me and teaches me defense moves. I just have never actually tried to hurt him , so I dont know how my delivery would go one fighter for example Chung Lee. He is one of my favorite. I like how he fights.. I dont like to call it fighting. fighting is where you have unresolved conflict. this is more sport. physical training .. anyhow .. he is a mental fighter.. its like he's playing chess.. and thats what makes it a good sport.. and also why it is a useful tool. Have you ever watched the Human Weapon. I believe its on the history channel.. Those are some incredibly neat shows.
  5. due to an issue with her fallopian tubes ALL of her children were conceived this way the reason for the 8 this time was thats how many fertilized eggs she had left.. and she didnt want them killed.. (aborted so to speak)
  6. I agree with both of you.. I guess just looking at where these ideas could go.. I guess playing devils advocate so to speak and thats why I am curious as to her money situation .. to have IVF 6 times.. many couples save every penny to do it once.. I know the state wont pay for it. heck most insurance companies wont
  7. ehtics are in question in so many things do we limit how many children a person can have? do we say you can have 4 and you can have 2? If she was a "good Christian woman" who wanted 14 kids would that change how many eggs woudl be planted? who do we give the power to decide that? then we have the single mom factor.. then we have the self reliance issue.. etc.. etc

    UFC and MMA

My husband is, so by proxy I am .. for those that dont pay per view there is a tv hosting site we use for free and the fights are up pretty quick. It has Spike TV on it.. and they usually have UFC on .. it called TVU..
  9. that is yet to be known.. I really hope not.. but it looks like it may be the case.. the story is she only did this last one becasue she had 8 embryos left and didnt want them to die
  10. no they were all donated sperm done via IVF invetro fertilization.. one donor was identified.. no "daddy" in the picture
  11. so much is going on I dont even know what is true or what isnt but I do have a question/discussion she had IVF for all of her kids.. she had 8 fertilized eggs left over so she had them all implanted rather than "letting the eggs go" for lack of a better term what are your thoughts on this..
  12. so there is no actual church doctrine on this.. its up to our own interpretation and revelation?
  13. I have a question regarding eternal families If a woman gets pregnant but never gives birth, due to natural circumstances, miscarriage, are they still considered spirit children and if the parents are sealed will that child be with them for eternity? I do not want this to become a debate on abortion. I am asking this in regards to wanted pregnancies and families being forever.. Thanks.
  14. as a homeschooling mom of 7 ages 11 mos to 10 years getting him involved as use to routine now will prove helpful later my just now 2 year old has her own folder which she works out of.. she has a pencil and papers.. she LOVES doing school work and I she is part of the group... since she likes "writing" she usually does that.. I incorporate each child into the theme being taught.. Monday's we do math, Tuesdays reading comp etc.. each at their own level I have taught counting with m&m's or mini marshmallows and they can eat them when done. you said he is not very verbal.. is he shy or does he have hearing issues maybe? working with him on songs and vocabulary would be a good idea for that.. You can link the two children work together .. the little ones learn vowel songs when we are doing phonics as a group.
  15. Hmm I never thought about it til now I discretely nurse my son in the chapel.. No one has ever said anything.. in fact I bet if you asked most don't even have a clue we do it.. personally I am much more offended by those talking amongst themselves, playing with cell phones, misbehaving children..... than I would be by a baby eating.. no matter if it be a breast, bottle or handful of cheerios.
  16. I especially liked what Margie in Rochester had to say here.. "When they were babies and toddlers, they played while I pursued my interests, hobbies and chores. While I sewed, they played with fabric and ribbons. While I cooked, they played at my feet with pots, pans and spoons. While I did yard work, they played in the sandbox." esp when you are outnumbered
  17. thats alot of info to digest.. but interesting
  18. that reminds me of a story our hens were doing sloppy laying and then breaking the eggs they did lay after several attempted solutions we still had some issues frustrated, my husband and I stood over the coop talking aloud as to our next step.. we both agreed.. DINNER! wouldn't ya know it but over the next few days egg production picked up
  19. I am currently concerned as my stockpile is nearly gone I am a "super couponer" and had an incredible stash of free or nearly free goodies. in the cross country move we gave away about 75% and have used up about 20% of what we had left.. I have been able to rebuild since then, but we currently have less than a months worth of food.. I recommend that people take $10-20 a week and buy a SUPER SALE item.. so if this week pasta is a super deal then buy $10-20 worth . next week it may be canned veggies the following week granola bars.. etc.. you will have a pretty good stockpile in no time at all.. and you arent going out spending a whole paycheck on food.. I prefer the smaller sizes on sale. if you open a large container you have to use it up in a pretty timely fashion. that can be hard, even for us at times
  20. they give him too much credit for stuff to think he's that incompetant. if he has been the mastermind behind all they accuse him of he must be pretty clever thats where I get confused but I digress.. this topic is about OBAMA... Savior of the Universe! .. key music and lights
  21. I said other currently we have no weapons but we do know several forms of martial arts..
  22. The "american people" bought houses they could not afford bought cars they could not afford bought tv's computers etc they could not afford they did not live providently.. they got greedy..and they did it with the help of PC politics I dont like to see anyone suffer.. but we have to have consequences to our actions.. no one grows, spiritually or otherwise, if they dont have trials and tribulations I can say I am not fearful.. cautious, but not fearful
