Cutting off quotes is easy (d'oh) I do not know her personally but met her online. She is really challenged and flusters easily. And as those lovely Philosophy 101 classes teach, the reality of any other human being is debatable. Hope that sort of helps. Then how do you know "she's" not lying to you? Once again, I don't believe this for 1 sec Her writing style has been fairly consistent. For example, cutting and pasting a lot of apparently tangential information (to avoid too many misspellings) is a way she gets her point across. She needs prayer rather than criticism IMO. And how sad to live paranoid when we have the Lord speaking to us. I prayed and asked if this was the real Restornu and got a spiritual confirmation. So I am puzzled about the venom you are spewing here and I am sort of offended. I just came back to full activity at church due to Restornu's guidance (in no small measure) and I feel you are doubting my testimony of the true church. And how do you get your point across "Naomi"? By lying and deceiving? You may be fooling some around here, but I know who you are :)

What's to say God's will isn't the physical law of the universe?

Shouldn't you have questioned the term prior to answering it? By "unacceptable to Christ" do you think he disagrees with it? You say you won't make comments about anyone's eternal destination, but you already did. You said.. Isn't that commenting on those who have "heard a clear presentation of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and rejected it" and their "eternal destination?" As for Works...before I go into that, let me ask you this. What does it take for a person to be "saved"?

Yeah right...I don't believe that bull for 1 sec.

A question... Do humans in glorified bodies radiate glory... or in heaven, is the "Glory" reserved for God the Father and God the Son? Now, we used the term "glorified bodies" for lack of a beter terminology, but when Christ on upon the earth with His glorified body, there is no indication that the body radiated "glory". Glory was a part of the deity of Christ which was suppressed for the 33 years He was upon the earth, never calling upon the "glory" of his deity. Exactly what is "glory"... a radiance, a brightness? But why does Christ have "glory"? Pure light perhaps? What does all the glory talk have to do with verse 10? It just states that in his vision, the 12 had brightness that exceeded the stars in the firmament. http://frontpage2000.nmia.com/~nahualli/LD...phi/1Nephi1.htm Verses 19 and 20 show two phases in the reaction of the sinful to the message of righteousness. The first is to mock, and the second is to attack. Well, I guess everyone comes by "mock" and "attack" in a very scriptural manner to anyone speaking the "truth". 1st. What is the question? 2nd. Yes, I believe everyone does come by "mock" and "attack" when someone is speaking the "truth" Just look at how we LDS members are treated at CF. That's a prime example of us being mocked and attacked for trying to speak the truth. Ne -Phi I have a question concerning the "at Jerusalem". )verse 7 also, his own house at Jerusalem) If Lehi dwelt at jerusalem in all of this days, how is that reconciled to the statement that when the Babylonians took Jerusalem, all of the skilled smiths were removed to babylonia. What is the meaning of "at Jerusalem" in this text, and when there are entries for "at _____" is it always to be taken in the same way, something like the "law of the first mentioned" and the Bible? When did the Babylonians take Jerusalem? (Was it 538bc?) As far as "at Jerusalem" why are you trying to read too much into it? I just read it as "he went to his house in Jerusalem" Do angels sing? I had the understanding that only the redeemed sing in heaven. Why can't angels sing? Don't they have plenty to sing about? I think they do, if not, we have a few Christmas songs that aren't right :) 'Which plates are these? The Golden Plates

Are you serious?
-
Serapha, I see you asked for Snow to respond to your questions, I'm still waiting for you to respond to mine.
-
keep it short
-
Maureen and Snow - You guys gave me a good laugh over those last 2 replies. I do agree though, it's a very odd statement.

So I asked... you said... and then I asked... and you said So is that to say that you do indeed feel that our faith is unacceptable to Christ and that we are going to Hell for following it? As for the works...you can ignore the Bible if you want to, that's your right. (Yes...that was smug)

See Shan...many woman have issues with it, so you're not alone :)
-
Well who knows...it may turn out you like the idea more than you thought you would :)
-
I'm not ok with it in my current frame of thinking, but I know that I don't know everything. I honestly believe that when the time comes, we'll have all the knowledge and maybe then it will make more sense. Also, I've been told that the wife will have the ultimate say so about whether or not their husband can participate.

It referenced D&C 130:22 to show that we believe God has a body of flesh and bones. It reads... "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also, but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us."

In other words a living woman can make the choice about which man she wants to be sealed to, but one who has passed on and is having the work done for her, can not make that choice, so the sealings are done for both men so that SHE can decide on the other side which man she wishes to be sealed to. Right?

~serapha~ 1. Do you feel that TCoJCoLDS gives a "clear presentation of the Gospel of Christ?"2. I like that answer. 3. I didn't indicate you made this statement...hence why I asked.
-
It's definitely not an agenda thing like "...March, help the homeless, April, rally against the Mormons.." but they do come out in droves at Conference time (which is twice a year). Not to mention every summer up in Palmyra they're all over the place. And as I've said before, my hometown held 1 anti rally a year.
-
I have a few questions for you Serapha 1. Do you think our faith is unacceptable to Christ and/or we are going to Hell for following it? 2. Do you think Christ agrees with your theology and that you are favored and because of that you are going to Heaven? 3. Do you try to get others to believe that Mormons are going to Hell? Is this the view you will give when you "teach" about our religion (which you have no basis to do so) to your students?
-
I thought you said you have never read the Book of Mormon. If you have never read it, how can you make this statement? Are you relying on other anti's beliefs? If you don't believe the LDS church is right and true, then why waste your time arguing? So what if LDS people believe that in the eternities that we can all progress to be like our Father and his Son Jesus Christ. For those who can't accept this, or believe this, who cares? It really won't make any difference in your life anyway. Just another anti mormon topic to try and cause contention. I don't understand that either. Once again, it's all about the 11th Article of Faith. Too bad others don't abide by it.
-
I know several Non-Mormon Christians who also believe that Jesus and Heavenly Father are 2 seperate beings.
-
Well, I can relate. ~serapha~ Somehow...I really don't think so.
