  5. No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude, and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God. . .and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven." (Quoted in Spencer W. Kimball, Faith Precedes the Miracle, p. 98.
  6. 2008 First Presidency Christmas Message "At this joyous Christmas season men and women of faith turn their thoughts to our dear Savior who came forth from heaven to live on earth as a mortal man and to establish the kingdom of God. His glorious gospel reshaped the thinking of the world. He blessed the sick. He caused the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear. He even raised the dead to life. To us He has said, 'Come, follow me.' "We testify of the living reality of Jesus Christ as the Savior of mankind. As we seek Christ and as we follow Him, we shall have the Christmas spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always. "

  9. He still could use some prayers! Per his permission: Yes it is OK to post your comment. As to my Surgery, Well it took 2 and 1/2 hours. They found a lot of blockage. And Dr. Jumper, put in 3 (Three) Stents. I was doing so much better, and I came home around 5 PM yesterday. Only to have chest Pain, and return to the Hospital. Last night in the ER, they gave me Morphine and Nitro through my I V., That cause my blood pressure to crash to 60. I passed out, and came so close to dieing. They admitted me and kept me there till this afternoon. All in all, I am doing well. Guess wanted me here a while longer. Sure made me happy. Now I have had 4 heart attacks, and 4 stents in my chest.( Gee if I didn't know better I would say I am falling apart at the seams) LOL. Thanks to GOD I am still here and feeling better. I am going to try to be at Church in the morning. If they will help to push me around I should be OK. Anyway Thank You for your thoughts and Prayers. Know I am doing so much better. I have to go for now, Other to let them know I am OK. You take care and stay safe. Your friend here in Christ; Rj Cloud

He has Autism and Compulsive disorder( gets angry) My second son is 26 He lives at home.. Was just ordained a Teacher in Feb, 2008. His Mission in life is just being him..... He is the welcome wagon to everyone in the neighborhood. Go easy on yourself.... Attend Institute..Go where the LDS Gals are.. If your worthy for a Temple Recomend I would think that is the most important aspect.
  11. Brick....... I know of an exceptional young man who is HIGH FUNCTIONING With Autism I don't know if its Asberger's or not.. but He is not able to serve the 2 year mission that most folks think is the only mission.. There are all kinds of Missions you can do... Service Missions come to my mind. This Young man is serving a mission with Special Needs Mutual....... and is very good friend to all.
