I cant help wondering how it even became and issue. Do people routinely calculate your bra size in church? If there is a variance do they have a heart attack and immediately draw everyone's attention to it? Was the woman bragging about it? Hey look at me! My chest is huge!!! I doubt either is true. People are too darn nosy into other peoples business. Can you imagine the woman going to church now knowing everyone is staring at her boobs and considering their size and attractiveness? Unless shes an exhibitionist no way is any woman going to enjoy that kind of attention. To think that there is TWELVE pages of posts here on the subject is just weird. My gosh dont people have better things to consider?

Some jokes are not funny. He was told to stop and he didn't. It might be the in thing but some in things are still hurful. Loser is not something to call anyone let alone a student. When you are building a person self respect you dont call them loser or any other derogatory word. Let them call your kids loser and lets see how much you laugh.

The freedoms of all of us is eroded first locally by ignorance then proceeds up the line. This situation in Kingston was not legislating from the bench. It was following the law passed by congress.

If you start limiting then you have to decide who has the right to limit. What criteria do you use? We have amendments to spread the right to vote. We dont have any that put more restrictions on who can vote. So, talisyn, does this regulation only apply to those areas who have had voting discrimination in the past or to everyone? I am pretty sure my town has changed the format since the Voting Rights Act was put into force. Not that it wold make a difference here since only heretics would vote other than Republican or run other than on Republican party ticket. I am suspecting from the article that the same sort of situation exists in that city. Whether they put a party on the ticket or not they are all going to be the same anyway.

One thing that confuses me here is why is anyone stepping in at all. My own town's elections are nonpartisan and no one told us we could not do it that way. What makes their's different?

Education might be the answer. Teach people their rights. In the end it is all that will or can help.

I do believe we do have the tools to know truly evil people. The gift of discernment is one way and the other is the Holy Ghost. God isn't going to leave us out here at the mercy of evil without a way to protect us. I have felt the presence of evil in some people. True sickening evil. It is pretty rare fortunately but it does exist. Likewise I have felt the presence of true goodness. Now that I hope is more common. We are who we are when we are born. This life is to prove ourselves and to get a body. We are not all good clones. Some are very bad. Cain comes to mind. He is in the position higher in evil even than Satan. This is who he was before he was ever born. Jesus was born good. He was that way before He was born. The rest of us are in degrees between the two. In this life we prove who we are. Consider: Four children are born in a family. Each of them is abused horribly. As adults one accepts the lifestyle of the parents. One relishes the lifestyle of the parents. One fights it but seems to be fighting a losing battle till their death. One turns from the lifestyle and refuses to be a part in it and refuses to let his children ever have contract with that lifestyle. What was the difference in each? The environment is never going to be exactly the same. Nevertheless each person reacts to the abuse in completely different ways from birth. The difference is in who they are spiritually. Not what they learned but who they are. We are given tools in this life to overcome what life throws at us. The question is: what tools will we use and what ones will we ignore? That is what separates us as being evil or good. .

I actually read a science fiction story where on a certain day everyone in the country went to their computer and said what they wanted their tax dollars to go for. In the story it worked very well saying that people will be responsible if they have a choice. No one paid for anything they disagreed with. It was interesting.

Money to the taliban for peace is a pretty sick idea. I dont even want to think of the damage they have done and that is not even counting the French. What terrible thing to do to their own allies.

A real source would be nice for that 'prophecy'.

New rumors are that a media deal was signed for this reality show he was promoted which brings up the question of whether one of the media outlets was in in on the whole thing. Sounds crazy but anymore who knows.

So what is it now that has changed? Something has. Are the same number getting pregnant but more are going through the pregnancy? Are they getting fewer abortions? Or are there more pregnancies than before? We really dont know enough to see what is going on yet.

1 out of 8 is pregnant. Soooo how many others had abortions? If you get to considering that it is pretty shocking. If they are not going to teach morals then why aren't they teaching contraception? You would think they would teach at least one or the other. Is it a just don't care attitude on the part of the kids or is it that they want a baby? I have heard kids that say a baby would be 'fun'. We have dropped the ball for sure but then the kids aren't using their heads either. Sadly I don't think its going to get better.

I was looking up some information for another thread and came across this site. It has some pretty funny stuff on it. It has truth meters and doesnt spare any side or group so read on and see some of our politicians wrestle with truth.

Sounds like they need you at least as much as you need them. They need you to show them that they are wrong in judging. They need you show them that they are wrong to ignore people out of their comfort zone. They need you to help bring love back into that ward. You can do it. All the suggestions given in this thread are good to remember as you strengthen your resolve. These people may never be the best friends you ever had but I would take bets they can become just that.

Articles on the subject definitely exist. Is it really necessary for there to actually be global warming for us to stop and think about how we treat our environment? If the global warming theory does nothing else it may be good because it makes us stop and think about what we are doing. Are we being good stewards of the earth or not? What can we do to make it better? We dont need to be deranged tree huggers to see value in good environmental practices, do we?

1.No smoking. ick for stench. 2.No alcohol. Not eating it either. It's no better for you eaten than it is drunk. Sure you can cook it out. Have to charcoal it though and why would I want that stinky alcohol in my mouth anyway? 3.No jumping on grandma but grandpa is fine with it. 4.No toilet seats up. Cold toilet water on my rear is not my idea of fun. 5.If I turn the kitchen lights on leave them on!! It is annoying to be in the middle of something, go out of the room and keep having to turn the lights back on again every single time. 6.No swearing. 7.If we, my husband and I, dont like it then dont do it in our house. 8. Last and not least. Do NOT touch my computer. I very seldom get virus's and dont appreciate the fact that others do frequently. If people cant be more careful then they can mess up their computer, not mine.

I know that if you allow usage of your water by anyone else for 10 years in Idaho you can not deny it to them after that. You may own it but they have a right to use the amount they have been using for that time period forever. It is sad because you can not help a neighbor or allow your water to even run off your land. If it does you lose the right to stop it.

I am more concerned at the moment that there are lots of huge earthquakes in the far east and few on this part of the fire circle. Usually if there are major earthquakes anywhere in the world there are corresponding quakes around the ring to balance them out. Not so lately. By lately I mean in the last 3 or 4 months.

He as talked to people from the first weeks of his presidency. Considering the storm that blew up when he even hinted he would talk to anyone who would talk I am pretty much led to believe it was going against the standard, john doe. Of course there does seem to be an automatic storm anytime his name is mentioned. Truth is that we do not talk to any one much anymore who is not our ally. Or at least didnt.

Obama is doing something that is quite amazing. He is talking to people, gasp, even our enemies. Now it seems to me that if you dont talk to enemies they will remain enemies. This shouldnt be a big deal. Certainly not Noble prize winning BUT no one else was doing it. Lots of posturing but we cant look weak by being willing to talk, note not concede, so it took a huge amount of strength for him to initiate talking. For this alone he deserves not only the Noble prize but support and praise.
