This was on facebook a few months ago. At a quick glance I see 46. Most were a long long time ago. Like in jr. high and grade school. The rest in high school. Most were ok but I have read lots better and more enjoyable. I am wondering how they chose this list? The ones that look good on paper? Most books I read to entertain me or to for information. Many of those do neither.

It seems slightly amusing that people keep trying to distance themselves from polygamy. Consider this. If a man is sealed to more than one woman in the temple the surmise is that he will have multiple wives in the hereafter. If it is allowed in the Celestial Kingdom then it must be acceptable practice. If man can become a god as our Heavenly Father it then it seems logical that God might very well have multiple wives. Might of course being an important word. We dont know but we should realize we dont know EITHER way.

wouldnt that be all of us doing service? now that sounds like a good plan to me.

If Lilith was truly before Eve then it wrecks the story of the apple. Perhaps it was Lilith that ate the apple not Eve at all. Honestly that would make sense. Who knows at this point if its true and it doesnt really matter much anyway.

Sure there will be. Do you know how to weed them out of the ones who would work if they could? I don't know how. If we could then those lazy people can be given an incentive very easily by making them work or else. (in my opinion that group will probably chose to find another scam but I guess that is an opportunity in a weird way) What I wish is the percent who would work if they could be given a chance to work at what they are capable of. Sadly this doesn't happen or they do work but for so low of wages they don't know how to get out of it.

"Be ye there for perfect." It just occurred to me, slow that I am, that we can become perfect just as God has commanded us to do. We follow the commandments, repent when needed and rely upon the atonement of Christ. With the Atonement we do become perfect. Is this not true? Yes it is. We do not become perfect alone. It is only through the Atonement that we can become perfect.

Some times the most important thing we can do in this life is break the cycle of dysfunctional. Especially ones much more dysfunctional than yours. Blessed be the Peacemakers.

Yet another weird question, regarding life after death
annewandering replied to LeKook's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
LeKook, My husbands great grandfather used to have dreams a lot. He used to have dreams about a new religion in america, he lived in England at the time, and that they had a book. Angels told him this and he saw it. Later he dreamed a dream looking down on SLC. He saw huge numbers of Elders spreading out in all directions. Just before he died, he saw Joseph and Hiram, whom he had known. All this was a blessing to him and to his descendants. Yes it is a problem but the evil you have known in your life telling you that YOU were evil was deceiving. They wanted you to toss away your gift, and try to destroy it. Your patriarchal blessing is going to give you an idea of what is necessary to you to know. Dont fear it. It will help you out. Just dont pray that your gifts be taken away from you. If nothing else your mom probably enjoys the visits. I wanted to add something else. Probably there are lots more people than will admit it have this kind of experience. Maybe even most people. I have had a few myself and I am no where near psychic. -
Ok the mom already talked to the school about the kids drinking and they told her all kids do it. The mom is already doing what the school suggested. Or essentially anyway. Sounds to me that there is going to be no official help if not even the school cares. That actually might be something she can work on and have some success. Obviously kids arent getting good support even at school. The school needs to be improved. I would guess the drinking problem is much more widespread than just with the neighbor boy so I am suggesting that a bit of civic duty might be useful for everyone.

Even more reason to celebrate! Congrats!

I would like the after part first to be honest. To me the bad part is I know I won't get to the good part alive, lol. so that kinda wrecks the fun part of it.

Yet another weird question, regarding life after death
annewandering replied to LeKook's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Seriously I am thinking it is all about genealogy. Notice that they give you the date, place, name and event. If so it would be important to not fight them but pray that they will be patient and that you can focus on what is needed. You do have a gift and it could be very helpful. -

Yet another weird question, regarding life after death
annewandering replied to LeKook's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Have you ever done genealogy? This is very common in genealogy. Maybe you need to be doing some genealogy. I would NOT go around telling everyone about it. Testimony or not they are going to either think you are nuts or start looking to you for guidance not the Prophets. Genealogy is good and testimony is good. -
Yet another weird question, regarding life after death
annewandering replied to LeKook's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Well you do not seem to be nuts. I know someone who has very similar problems and yes they do seem to be problems. His are slightly different but close enough that your situation is not implausible at all. You need to be careful to not use this outside your stewardship. Even if you know something its not necessarily your business to take action. I also would not advertise it much or people are just going to think you are nuts. I dont think there is anything in the church against it. Lots of people have incidents during their lives just not so many. How can it be evil if you never did anything or use it unrighteously? -
Amazing speculation. Truth is about any theory can be backed up by scripture if you try. You fear that the great whore is America because of the federal reserve and our military. I think I would want some recent prophecy on that. It sounds more like political thought to me than doctrine. Where do you get the idea that we, as a church, have failed to bring about the Kingdom of Zion? Where do you get the idea that some other group is going to come forth to take over because we failed? I have never read or been taught that any of those things are true.

I wont even tell you what my life has entailed and it was not in a third world country. Anyway it is not only the wicked who will suffer. We will ALL suffer. I guess masochism just isn't me.

Bank Bailouts, what does the term mean to you?
annewandering replied to BenRaines's topic in General Discussion
As I recall an important part of the bailouts was that the loans to small business and people would start being made again. This did not happen. Instead we saw CEOs and stockholders getting record profits. And you ask why people are mad? We were conned. Now you want to mention violence of the Occupy Wall street people? and yes it is a part of the the bailout. What do you think made people so mad? The bailout was a last straw. It was supposed to create jobs. Ha. The 1% do not create jobs. They savage jobs. Check out how Mitt Romney made his money. He took over companies and gutted them and walked away with the cash. He is not an isolated case. By the way back when the SL Olympics was in a quagmire and Romney not only saved it but made it very successful, I told my family he would be president some day. He does know how to fix things. I was very disappointed to learn he was a corporate raider, which to me is legal but lacking in morals. How many protesters have attacked non protesters? Let me see. 0? So who is being violent? Who snuck up on women already correlled in a containment fence and pepper sprayed them? Protesters? No it was a white shirt policeman who snuck away as fast as he could. Even the blue shirted police were looking at each other in dismay clearly wondering what had happened. OWS protesters dont need people to 'teach' them what do do now. As the link to the Tea Party cocreator pointed out that was a big mistake the tea party made. Letting someone else set the agenda. We do not need anyone to tell us why we are mad. We know why. It's time to 'bailout' the American public. The 1% dont need more bailouts. -
I would trust it to improve sanitation if I trusted business to be there for their consumers. As it is they will substitute it for other poor practices to save money. Sad but I guarantee it.

It takes a college degree to dig ditches now. How in the world can anyone repay the debt? My sons served in the military which is a good way to fund education although the payment may be way over what its worth so I am not sure I recommend it. Still it works.

I shudder to think that people look forward to the trials of the last days. I cant even walk a block and neither can my husband. We are doomed to die very fast. Its not that I mind dying so much its just that when people go looking forward to it as if its going to be a great challenge it seems to me that they dont seem to remember how many are going to suffer and die. Or care? How many people will die simply because of lack of medicines they need to survive? No. I am not looking forward to that. Its hard already for many of us.

I think that it was probably an idea to slam women a bit more. Not only did we eat the apple but we didnt even need the apple to corrupt an archangel and commit adultery. (notice the apple came after Lilith committed adultery) Men have been trying to blame women for their adulterous behavior since the beginning of time. Nothing different here.
