This is what I always understood as well. I don't understand why people can get all up in arms about seer stones. If the Urim and Thummim and even those 16 stones found by the brother of Jared can be used for the Lord's purpose then why not other stones? People are way too quick to try to constrict the actions of Deity.

Yeah that was pretty rude. I don't blame them. How much of a story can a bunch of big bbqs with a few politicians sprinkled in with the normal middle-class people and musicians, all of whom are NOT rioting or spewing hate-speech, be? If you don't give it to them they have to go and make their own, and we've seen where that leads BTW I think Obama's doing a pretty good job with what he inherited. The world isn't gonna end, the economy is gonna recover, and hopefully we'll see a suitable chastening of the financial institutions. I applaud the protesters for having the guts to stand up for what they believe in and I thank them for not rioting and sacking the local Home Depot. Hey did anyone see the sign one of the guys was holding that said 'Honk if I'm paying your mortgage'? I can't find any video of that. I think a better sign would read 'Honk if the bailout is paying for any mortgages'

You simply explain what the consequences of various activities may be. If you raise them with a firm foundation they may wander a bit but I'd bet my right pinky they'll almost always return to the straight and narrow. I have only a daughter, and believe me I've been thinking about this as well. I was a total hellion when I was 13 but when I turned 14 I went back to normal. I've been thinking of putting my child in nice tall tower until her hormones get under control when the time comes lol.

I'm more concerned about you though. How is your testimony holding up? Have you been strengthened by your scripture studying and prayers? This is a great opportunity to do major learning about the gospel and applying it's principles to your life, like fasting and prayers for specific answers (I'm not saying you don't do that already lol. Just saying it's a good time for it). One thing to remember is truthfulness of The Book of Mormon will be proven by the Holy Spirit, not by the thousands of little evidences found in Mesoamerican pottery and statues.

Actually you pretty much sum up LDS belief about nudity lol. I hate seeing nudity on film. There is no reason for it. About love though, even those who are sinful can feel love. I think what you're talking about is how early those in film seem to feel this emotion. True enough, real love takes time and commitment. But that would make for a really really long movie. Consider it a plot device lol.

You're in Idaho too? Cooooooool I agree, most of the people in Idaho are pretty commonsense. There are some I wonder about though. If you've ever driven around Twin Falls and have seen those huge houses that sprung up like mushrooms the past couple of years like I have you have to wonder what are the jobs these people have that can afford those houses and why am I not working there
