There is NO power in prayer. Absolutley none what so ever. The power is in God and his priesthood. Thats why we must listen to the whisperings of the Spirit so that we pray according to the will of the Father. When we are living as we should and really striving to be as much like our God as we can His will becomes known to us and it becomes our own. And if His will is seemingly too painful for us want to share with Him...we can at least have the wisdom and understanding so as to continue in faith and love and humility. God will never forsake us. He will never allow a situation that is too great for us to endure.

I knew a couple going through a simular situation and the husband stuck around because he didnt want his wife to remarry and have his kids sealed to another man. Said he didnt want to loose them to another guy. I talk with him about that and I suggested something he had not entirely realized....he'd already lost them. Sure, they were not going to another man....they were going with no one. No one except for their rightious mother. Let him know taht. Tell him that with the rejection of his God and God's truth he also forfits his sons.

Does this mean he doesnt hear the prayers of those who are now in the path ? Or does it simply mean your prayers were in unison with the Lord's will?

I believe the church teaches that ALL things were created in spirit before being made flesh. This would have to include your dog. So, since Fido was created by G*d in spirit that makes it an eternal being being that spirit can not be created or destroyed. My theory, Fido is in fact in the presence of its creator doing whatever it is that dogs do in "heaven". Will Fido be your "companion" in the here after?...I do not know. But I know that Fido will be there so I'm sure you'll still get to throw a few frisbes around. I myself look foward to seeing my 5 dogs, 3 rats, 1 hairless albino rat with one eye named Lucky, a green iguana, Savanna Monitor, Raven named Sam, and 2 or 3 hamsters....I now have Dobermans and a Miniature Pinscher. Hope dog food is cheap there.

Now let me explain to you how the spirit of The Lord would most likely have "answered" that prayer...A young university student was home for the summer. She had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked "God" to keep her safe from harm and danger. (NOTE: isnt it funny how we humans claim to not be afraid yet ask God for protection. ) When she reached the alley, which was a shortcut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for "God's" protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped around her, and she heard a still small voice whisper to her, telling her that she should not take this short cut. Telling her to take the normal route to her home. Having asked for God's protection she listened to that quiet prompting of the Lord and walked past the alley leaving the man behind. She could not help the other girl who went down the alley, for she never came close to the danger. Regardless of how hard that other girl may have prayed did she follow the prompting of the spirit? I believe that God doesn't wish to escourt us past evil but steer us clear of it all together. Setheus.

Last week I was in a convoy and as we were driving along a girl about 12 was standing on the side of the street watching as we passed. Then, right as I was looking at her and giving her a smile she pulled a weapon out from under her dress and opened fire on us. She must have sprayed 50 rounds at the vehicle I was in from no more than 20ft away. After a second or two she dropped the weapon which turned out to be a very old AK-47, and ran away down some side streets. Another in my squad picked up the weapon and my vehicle and another gave chase to the little girl. We chased her for several blocks *had trouble due to rubble in the road and the fact that she had several seconds head start*. We saw her enter a house and we sat in the NW corner and the ohter veh took the SE corner so we could see all four sides in case she tried to slip out. Once help arrived we entered the house using dynamic entery tactics and discovered the little girl and three men. We arrested the men and detained the girl. Through a translator we discovered from the girl that the men were her dad, uncle, and brother. They had threatened to rape and beat her if she did not do what she had done and attack the us troops. She attacked us out of fear for her own safety. THAT is the kind of evil we are dealing with over here. Do you think SHE would have killed hundreds without blinking an eye? Does she fit into that theory? I'll tell you the darkest part of this is that if I had not been so busy ducking her bullettes I would have blown her away in a heart beat. And perhaps THAT is the only real evil?

You must not have read my post. Clearly I believe in God. And I love him as much as He loves me. Take that to mean what you will.

Some of you guys see a church changing and letting you down. I see myself changing and letting Heaven down. I sympathise with your plight. I would say Give the LDS church a chance. Have faith in the gospel. But who am I kidding right? You're not into that since it requires faith. Some people fall because God doesnt show them enough. I've fallen because He showed me too much! I hate this place. He pourd all of his love and grace into this...killing field. Well, do you see it? Do you see it anywhere?

I want to know what Snow and Antishock learned together. I am always in a state of tribulation so I belive that I would wade through it with realitive ease. Seriously. What were the things you learned Snow?
