  1. Oh goodness, I just got here too. Hate to see you go... I'll enjoy all your previous postings. Take care and hurry on back now, ya hear!
  2. Yes, be his friend. Pray for Him. Pray for Yourself Pray Together Invite him to Church activities. Institute class And if you do decide to go out with him, make sure it is in a group setting and just go as friends. Church dances, sports activities and so on. Also, if there are FHE for YA's those are good for both of you.
  3. But of course, a knife is a deadly weapon. However, to use it successfully, you either have to be in close contact or know how to throw well. Most people, well the one's I grew up with, that are good shots generally, have a good throwing or pitching arm. In other words, good aim. *I know I'm not Hemi, but I answered anyway...
  4. Oh goodness, I wish there was a "Hug" button here to click, I'd send you one. So a cyber hug will have to do. I am so sorry that you are feeling like this. I do pray you will find the solution for your family and just know that you are not alone...
  5. Hmmmm, interesting point, john doe. I'm not even sure if there are any limitations on it except when the money's gone you have to wait for the next installment. Thanks!
  6. Hello & Welcome! I like your avatar. Fixing to sit down with the kids and watch the movie. Oh, and the mom in me can't help but to say, No blowing things up in here and keep those clodhoppers off the table!
  7. Well, I guess it's much faster than the Pony Express, huh.
  8. Whoa, ok, I wasn't expecting that at all. Let me ponder this for a bit Hemi, thank you. * Sorry it took so long to reply. The server was reset while connecting or something to that effect... (Dial up is good sometimes, sometimes it's just a pain in the brain...like now) LOL!
  9. Ummm... I have no idea what that means... I'm guessing High Speed!
  10. Thanks Having! So, I now wonder if I can use my MS state debit card, its our child support card. I could replace that money with my own if I can use it on that site. Or I can just wait and ask at church Sunday. Thanks!
  11. Wow, you answered before my browser even loaded back up. I'm on dial up. Well, I'm way out here in the piney woods of the deep south, I do not think we have a local bookstore, but I'll ask Sunday when I go into town to church. I have a tri, but I'm getting old and wanted a larger print. Thanks Hemi.
  12. Hi, I am wanting to purchase a quad from the Church Distribution website. lds catalog dot com. I'm wondering do they allow you to pay for items using paypal? Or do you have to use a credit card to order items from them online? I just wondered if others have ordered from them using paypal. I did look through their FAQ's and didn't find any mention of how to pay them. Thanks!
  13. I am an Army Brat, Military Issue so to speak... Our father raised us all as if we were his very own small platoon. From patrolling specific areas, respecting authority, being a pack horse as well as teaching us how to carry and properly shoot firearms. We were probably about 9 or 10 when we were taught how to shoot a gun and gun safety. I prefer a 12 gauge, as they do not give a bruising kick. I am after all even with that in home military training a girly girl from top to bottom and do not like to be hurt, even from a kicking gun. However, we were taught gun safety and guns are not play toys, every child that is in contact with a firearm should be taught, know and understand the significance of gun safety. You might consider storing your firearm in one area and the ammo in another or better yet, invest in a locked gun cabinet and secure the key. Personally, if it ever came down to it, I do know the points of entry for immediate elimination, however my personal choice of weapon is a knife. Of course, if it comes down to it, it is best to have the firearm, plenty of ammo and the knife. If you get a firearm, just make sure you secure it out of reach of children, teach them how to use it properly and teach them gun safety. We live out in the country, the gun is stationed behind the door, The children who have lived here or visited here never bother them. They are not loaded and always have safety on. BTW, I am a better shot than either of my brothers.
  14. Neither of my girls would take a ninny, ummm...pacifier at all and when it came to trying a bottle, out it was spit. Nope they wouldn't take anything but the real thing. For us, nursing was a full time, real thing deal, no matter what I tried...
  15. So, then there may be no hope of obtaining a grant for schooling? * just a thought* Here is a link to a work at home site. (I know the lady, she screens the URLs she posts to make sure they aren't scams.) There are jobs there for online teachers as well as other online jobs, maybe you could get one of those and save up the money for your schooling needs. The teaching jobs are listed at the bottom of the page. Some of the teaching jobs do not require a degree, just the knowledge or experience to be able to teach others.
  16. This is my point exactly when I said it was a What Would Jesus Do Moment. I think he'd probably understand that children need to be fed, regardless of the location. And yes, a receiving blanket does work very well. Although, unless it is cold, the babies naturally get very hot when they are covered in such a way...
  17. Oh, ok, well maybe the popularity of giving a baby a bottle grew more so in the 50's. I remember reading that somewhere, not sure.. And a Lead Bottle! That is very scary considering what we know now of lead poisoning.
  18. Hello & Welcome Krishna! I hope you enjoy the site. Somewhere here online there is a site that has the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine & Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price and the Bible, written out for your reading pleasure. I'm new here and am not sure where they are or I would leave you links. Perhaps, someone else who does know will be kind enough to leave those links for you here, so you can find them and read them. Also, if there are any Mormon Missionaries around you, they will be more than happy to give you a Book of Mormon and there is a 1-800 # that you can call to have either a Book or Mormon or a Bible sent to you through the post office. If there are any members of the church about, they may also have a Book of Mormon that you can read. Once again, Welcome to the site!
  19. LOL Hemi! Yes, I am also an odd ball here as well. Yes, you have seen spirit people. Or Yes, you know someone who does see spirit people. LOL! Seriously, I can understand that it may make some people doubtful, or skeptical. I might even feel that way if it was something that I'd never experienced myself and just had someone else telling me about it. I do understand that. Which is one reason I suppose i learned at a very young age not to mention it to others. I mean, can you imagine for a moment being able to see someone that others can't even see in the same room they are in? Believe me, there have been many, "Who is that?" episodes that were just as real as the person you are asking the question of. Both my girls have done the same thing when they were younger, but rather than telling them they are imagining what or who they are seeing, I ask them: "What do they look like?" "What are they wearing?" "What are they doing?" "What are they saying?" Of course not all at one time, as I do let the conversation evolve and even though I might not see what they see, I can feel what they see, even before they mention seeing a spirit someone. Besides, no matter what it may be, if it is true the Spirit will witness it to me and I just know... I guess, since I was nearly convinced as a child that these things were not real, I Do Not Feel it is My Place to try to Convince My Children that they may be nuts, when I Know very well They Are Not. I don't go about calling attention to it, I am quiet and I sit and listen to see whether others make mention of feeling something of seeing something. More often than not, they do if they are sensitive to such, whether it is a chill they feel or they turn to look and then mention that they saw some movement out of the corner of their eye. It all really depends upon the situation as to whether or not I may even say anything at all to others, generally, it's a knowing smile or a nod or something like that. If no one else notices it, I generally just keep it to myself. Because of my childhood conditioning. Besides, I do think there is some good reason why everyone cannot see these very real spirit people around them. What that is, I cannot answer, for I know it not...
  20. Yep, and the only real way anyone who's never personally fed a child by natural means is to do it. Most can never really understand what it's like to have an infant ready to tear off your clothes cause they are hungry and they know where the meal is... As far as I'm concerned, it is a natural means of nutrition, babies eat and they want to eat when they are hungry. It's not we'd just whip em' out for the whole world to see, but babies can make for some fine little wrestlers when they want to fill that place in their tummies. It's a natural process, nothing to be ashamed of and well, there weren't any glass or plastic bottles around, what prior to the 1950's, I think.
  21. Hello & Welcome Jasmin! Keep reading and praying, it will all work itself out, you are on the right trail and your spirit is telling you this, simply listen, read and pray. It will all work itself out.
  22. Yes it is Madriglace, thank you so much for sharing your story with us. Yes, I too feel it is a blessing!
  23. I nursed my two and let them wean themselves naturally. Personally, I think that this is one of those: What Would Jesus Do? Moments... For any onlookers or room sharers...
  24. Good for you Say! I am glad you found your brother. I know I'd be worried if mine disappeared without a word...
  25. Actually something like that should be sent to the BBB, I think, rather than 911.(I do know you were joking, but just in case someone even considers it...)
