I think that him making money is a good idea. And so does he!

"Fundamentalist" Mormons have blown up LDS chapels and have shot people, too. And I think you'll find that Blood Atonement covered much more than mentioned by Jesus Christ. And unforigable means that. Not "Well, if your blood is spilt, don't worry, that'll fix it all."
-
What I said was church, not members. There are people who follow everything Brigham Young taught. Including Blood Atonement. They are the people who blow up LDS chapels and so forth...

I do not believe Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I used to, but I don't anymore... (Hope I haven't offended anyone?) But I really do wonder if saying 'rude' things about him here is a good idea? I mean, you would not say rude things about the Pope on a Catholic site, hmm? (What??? You DO? Oh! )
-
But 99.9% of what Brigham Young said is now ignored by the modern Mormon church, surely?

The Man from England says: "Cheeto? What the h*** is a Cheeto???"
-
Who says? Who says: "Nah. That blood of Christ just ain't good enough for us"? That's got to be some really, deeply, seriously, flawed and weird doctrine.

Comparing apples with oranges, in my opinion. See, the problem with Michael Young is that he has a very American approach to the world. And I most certainly do not mean this in any disrespectful way. Michael Moore thinks that every problem has a simple answer to it. This isn't always so. For example, I find his possible sollution to the problems of Northern Ireland to be simplistic and unworkable. But at least Mr Moore has bothered to look at the problem beyond a "lets wear green on Saint Patrick's Day and pretend we are Irish" kind of a way. If you see what I mean.

Get some imported Bass bottle Pale Ale. 5.2% and it has a very refreshing taste. I tried some Canadian beers. Not bad, for Lager-style beer. But to be honest I am an ale drinker, rather than lager. IPA is my ale of preference. IPA = India Pale Ale.

Yay for the good 'ol strawman arguements! Have you read Mein Kampf? Have you seen the God Makers? Let's include stuff that does not relate to the matter in question, in the hope that we can confuse the issue. That's not big, nor is is clever. I have seen some programmes by Michael Moore. They were well-made and he came over as a sincere, pasionate kind of a chap. Kind of man I might like to buy a pint of ale for, in a pub. Well, several pints, maybe! He has irked me once or twice, I don't always agree with what he says. But then, that's what adult debate is all about.

Oh, but Duck, if you will not go to see the film, then you are basing your view on hearsay. I have no opinion on Mr Moore's film, as I have yet to see the film for my self. If there was a cinema anywhere near where I live, perhaps I would! :)

And as civilians will pay your wages, why would that matter?! Joshing to one side, what kind of civilian? Not, Ihope, some political apointee...

But we are all responsible for the results of our actions, yes? :)

The Mormon church would look much better if they said: "Yes. This was an act carried out by faithful Mormons. There were reasons why they did it. These reasons might have seemed right and proper to them, but we have to admit that even by the standards of the times they lived in, their reasons were shoddy and paperthin excuses for what happened. Although we know there's nothing that cas n be done about it, we have to say that we are sorry it happened and accept our portion of the blame." However, maybe there is something the Mormon Church could do? How about setting up an organisation to promote greater understanding of other people and calling it the Mountain Meadows Fancher Institute? Would this help to put things right? Then those pesky anti-Mormons would have less to say on the issue, perhaps?

Yes.. but this would help to deal with Muslim terrorists who are of African decent or who are white Muslims in exactly what way? In my previous place of work Special Branch officers were said to have been very interested in a very radical white Muslim who had gone to Afganistan just before September 11th... And who never came back. Incidentally, he scared and offended my Muslim colleagues because he was "far too strict" for them in his beliefs.

Oh! CHRISTOPHER Hitchens! Nobody takes HIM seriously! Self-serving little oik. Writes for the Daily Mirror (that paper of record (NOT!)) and any other dross publication which will give him space. Wrote a pathetic hatchet job on Mother Teresa which made him the laughing stock of the entire British Isles. You don't want to take any notice of him! He's a loony!

Gosh. How dare people like Michael Moore exercise their right to a freedom of speech? Doesn't he know we only let people we agree with exercise this right?

I voted UK Independence Party. And they won some seats in the EU parliament, and in some local council elections, too.
-
Oh, but I get it! Though you'd have to be either a Brit, Irish, Aussie or a Kiwi to get it! (It's an insult, btw! )

Neo = new so I would think that a neocon would be a New Conservative. Or a plain old Conservative who wants to pretend to be something else?!

I have no problem with 50. Darn it. You are still young and probably still as sexy as you were at age 30! (I am 47, so therefore I KNOW you are still young!

12 Reasons Why Gays Should Not Be Allowed To Marry

As long as homosexuality is not made compulsary, why would we be bothered by it? (That was a joke, btw) Presumably there'd have to be gay divorce and gay alimony, too? I cannot see the point of gay marriage. But then, why would I? I am not gay. -

Pahoran's post was ironical. I have notced that many Americans do not "do" irony. (IE understand the concept of ironical humour.) A friend made an ironical joke to an American he met whilst on holiday in Italy, recently. He said: "I was amazed. It just went straight over her head." -
You sure about this being the way that spyware gets on to computers? IE., via porn sites? (Or do you have evidence culled from the particular spyware? ) At work we found one computer that came in pre-loaed with spyware. Also, some spyware is slipped onto magazine cover disks and some shareware vendors send spyware. And the latest scam is for Spyware to be sent via emails using trojan techniues and hyjacking email address books.
