Hi, Sweetie Okay my response after pondering and consulting with priesthood holders and reading a few scriptures is, if a priesthood holder is not living up to the covenants he has made and has turned his back on the principles of the gospel he no longer has the priesthood AUTHORITY any more ... just think of it this way...does a person who has not been baptized by the proper authority have the gift of the Holy Ghost? No. They can be prompted by Him but not have the constant companionship of him. Father has said in verse 37 of the 121st section of the the D&C that the "heavens withdraw themselves and the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man." If one isn't entitled to the gift of the Holy Spirit one is not entitled to use the priesthood. Much love, Sugar

I think that this should be referred to a psychiatrist. Unless we have one that posts on the board, I don't see how we could be of any help. THis is a serious psychotic disorder that needs professional treatment. Get out your Yellow pages and look for some help.

Whoa, back up. Snow has an excellent point. The Dark Ages comes to mind. However, we have become more enlightened, more civilized, if you will in that we don't publicly behead people and start a fracas over a freakin'cartoon. SO, I think it is still the Muslims that are ahead in this race. Tis a shame. I know a few Muslim people in my limited sphere who are the most wonderful people. It is the extremists we need to be wary of, up to and including Christian extremists. B)

How do you figure that people in the Church won't accept you? The Savior taught we are to love everyone. Remember him and the woman who was going to be stoned? He told her to go her way and sin no more. I guess I don't understand your reasoning for throwing in the towel and deciding to date outside of the church. Why would you be baptized and then put yourself in harms way by dating outside of your faith. You might as well shoot yourself in the foot. Pray about this. You will know the Lord's will. And if any members don't accept you then the sin is on thier shoulders. WE are not to judge. If push comes to shove, you could move here to my branch where we welcome anyone with open arms because you are our sister anad your son, our brother. I wish you all the best. B)

Think about it. How then does the Spirit dwell in all of us if he is a personage. How is that possible? I submit that it very well may be that it is organized just like it is here. Perhaps he directs righteous spirits to dwell within us at his direction according to our making and keeping of covenants. He is a god after all. I don't see how he would operate any different from the Father and Jesus Christ. That is one "theory" There are many I am sure, and the real one will not be known until it is time for us to know and accept. I imagine there is a lot about what goes on behind the scenes that would probably freak us out if we knew before we were prepared. That is why the gospel is so simple. Do these simple things andyou will get through this, the Savior tells us. Of course this maybe percieved to be a dogmatic approach but it truly is my own actual thought and not rhetoric. IMHO
