Well I know just you feel! Two separate households has its advantages. In a way you are always dating. I have had friends who have long term relationships and do not live together. There are good things about this lifestyle! Best Wishes,

Dear Jackie, I sympathize. I was married to someone like this and chose not to have children because I did not want to bring up children with someone with that type of problem. You may enjoy the community of the church. Wishing you the best!

I have not meet anyone in the church who would shun someone for not having kids..and I have met some rather odd characters! I have met people who will tactlessly ask why you do not have kids...they ask me, I am single, and gasp when the answer is 'no kids' and I am, yeah, single! But they don't shun you...anyone who did shun you would be doing you a favor as I am sure that you do not want to talk to them anyway!

How awful to hear of the temple being robbed. Well I can see why temples are usually located in nicer neighbourhoods. Most of the Canadian temples are in nicer neighbourhoods with the possible exception of Nova Scotia. I say this from looking at Google satellite and counting above ground pools.

Found some info on lds temple site. Will be located in Neighbourhoods of Bridgewater. South of city. Looks like new subdivision. Looks like a pricey neighbourhood.

Hi Is there anyone here from Manitoba Canada? They recently had a community meeting about the new temple and the church is applying for permits. Rumour is that the temple will be in Winnipeg south. Any info as to the location?

2nd Nephi almost killed me the first 5 times even with a manual. Suggest just skimming through it the first time. Get onto the stuff that's understandable. Yes, you will understand it ( recommend Ridges the Book of Mormon made easier) but the first few times is difficult so just read it quickly and push through.

I am childless. I find it easy to make friends with young mums because I am flexible with my time and I have the energy to listen. Young moms have a tendency to fall asleep if they sit still for a moment!?

But we love you?

Great to have you here!

Nothing you would do would cause us to shun you. We do not believe in shunning. Even if you murdered someone we would still invite you to parties and encourage you to attend church. We will never shun you not ever. Members are encouraged to have children as you have noticed from the lessons. Feel free to abstain. Free agency.

The infants and toddlers do not need to take the sacrament. The little ones like to do so to be like Mommy and Daddy. People give their children the sacrament so that the children learn to honor the sacrament. If you have young children you do not need to give them the sacrament.

How to Get your Kids to Come Home for Thanksgiving
Sunday21 replied to Larry Cotrell's topic in Mormon Jokes
A Mormon couple are in an airplane flying over the Atlantic. The plane lost both engines and the pilot announced that the plane would need to crash land on a small island. The plane crash landed with few injuries to passengers. Once the passengers disembarked the pilot explained that the radio was dead and that as the plane had flown off course, it was unlikely that they would be found. The passengers were lost with little hope of rescue. The morman man turned to his wife and asked 'Honey, did you make our contribution to Young Women's Camp?' She replied 'No I forgot. How can you think about that when we are lost in the Atlantic! The husband chucked and replied, 'Don't worry. I know the Young Women's president. She wants that check. She'll find us!' -

Not sister wife material and refuse to wear those homely handmade dresses! I used to live in a prairie town near to many Hutterite communes. The women wore incredibly intricate beautiful handmade clothing. My sister would buy crafts from the women. At age 55 the women would retire no more housework! -

Don't you find that little nugget of information intriguing? I am dying to know what happened in this incident. When I returned to church I read through all the scriptures in hope that more scriptures would be released. Did not work obviously! -

You think he collects wives because he has no friends? Or that because he is the ward ceremonial dung collector he has no friends? -

Makes the programs! That's a snazzy job. Imagine the little jokes you could slip in. Accidentally put some of your friend's names in new callings? And make up new callings. Ward dung remover ...Bro Sam Howard, I had a friend who went to Durham University in England. There was a ceremonial but paid position of dung collector. This person was appointed each year in an assembly and was given their ceremonial shovel which they then had to carry or I guess lean on, during assembles.
