  1. My statistical model is insignificant...sob. After I have cuddled it, kissed it, clasped it to my bosum...still refuses to spit out a single publishable result. Now I have to learn about latent variables and plug that into the model. Oh sharper than a serpent's tooth is an ungrateful statistical model. What ever I did that was so dasterderly in the preexistance to be struggling with this thorny dataset, I repent of it now. Where is the Duddlydoright of statistical analysis! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dudley_Do-Right
  2. There is a book that you might like, https://www.amazon.ca/God-Who-Weeps-Mormonism-Makes/dp/1609071883
  3. I hope vidangel wins. I want to watch seven psychopaths. A dog kidnapping ring. Meant to be funny http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865656008/Major-Hollywood-studios-sue-movie-editing-service-VidAngel.html?pg=all Do not even think of trying to watch The Lobster. Premise:single people are sent to hotels where they have a few weeks to find a mate before they are turned into animals. Should have been hysterical. NOT. Gave up. Hmmm. What movies could I watch, if they would bleep the bad words? In the true north, cold and free, there used to be a channel that bleeped the bad words. I liked this a lot! The bleeping really added to the fun. Sadly this service is now gone. Who is our movie reviewer friend? Maybe, he can suggest some good movies that when bad words are removed will be family friendly. For example, About Time, lost the PG rating for a series of posters of a naked woman. For a female audience, no biggy.
  4. I picture Hitler, Polpot, Mao & the gang of 4 (which included one of Mao's wives), and a Canadian bureaucrat who turned away a boatload of Jewish children before WWII, they were taken in by the US. Stalin...did you ever see the 2nd Night in the Museum movie?
  5. Vidangel. Does this mean no swearing?

  9. I think son of perdition like mankind is meant to encompass women as well.
  10. Have you ever accepted a calling or decided to bite the bullet and obey a commandment eg sabbath observance, only to discover unexpected blessings? I accepted a call to work in the temple which was much more onerous than I thought it would be and...my niece formerly a bit of a problem, nicknamed the monster, has been acting most angelically, my mathematical models have practically been solving themselves, and our local genus is interested in working on a project. Wonders will never cease. What about you?
  11. What did you think of the movie for an adult viewer?
  12. My stake pres gently inquired if he could goon a mission and was told no. He is about 45. Guess lots of people have to wait!
  13. I was married for 24 years to someone who started out as a bit eccentric and selfish. He gradually became a monster. Some people will use all the rope you give them to hang them themselves. Once things have reached a certain point, you become an enabler. For the good of everyone, including your husband, go to your aunt. ( sorry about the underlining. I can't make it stop!).
  14. http://religionnews.com/2013/11/06/raising-mormon-kids-keep-faith/ Helping children to stay active. I really liked the part about getting grandparents involved. I am the only member in my family but we definitely farm out child raising in my family!
  15. http://www.gregtrimble.com/you-should-not-leave-mormonism-for-any-of-these-5-reasons/ This guy seems pretty cool!

  22. This woman is not a member of our chuch. She has very bravely come to us for insight and advice. You are not her priesthood leader and have no authority over her.
  23. Okay. But couldn't the narrator write something like. "The Lamanities were very disagreeable to the Antinephi Lehites. Loss of life was considerable on both sides. Forty thousand lamanities out of an original fifty thousand were left standing." Seriously. How does anyone sleep after reading Alma!
