Personal opinion.......it IS irresponsible to have children when your marriage is not one of unity of purpose. Same goes for not having the finances to raise your children. Don't have 7 kids if you can't feed, clothe, house and educate them. Practice Birth Control(I'll catch hell for that statement, but I'll stand by it)

My wife has a male coworker that I don't approve of and she knows it. He calls the house, texts, sends emails.....his wife lives in a different state. I know my wife loves me and would not do anything improper but I don't trust her coworker. Unfortunately he will be a coworker until we pcs to a new base. It's been the source of several discussions between us.

I sometimes attend the Church of the Holy Fly Fisherman, or the Church of the Shipwreck Divers......but my Mom is in a different Stake, and State! Lucky me.....

Baby jogger hands down is the best all around stroller made. Even if you are not a jogger. Get 16" wheels, rolls great on all surfaces(I've seen umbrella strollers on cobblestones, not fun) great for walking, shopping, converts to bike trailer and back to stroller easy, it's LIGHT!(big plus). We used ours for two kids and MANY kilometers while in Europe, then brought it home and gave it to my sister who used it, now her sil is in possession. Of course I'm thinking like a man......best investment we made......even better than the 529's.....lol

I'm sure the 4x4guys are not as bad as a few biker(motorcycle) forums I frequent.........now THEY can be rude.....

"Meaningful service" could be as simple as bringing the morning paper up the stairs for an elderly person. Why it could be as simple as doing your Home/Visiting teaching :)

If my spouse were to cheat that would be the end of our marriage. There is no excuse for cheating or abuse. Leave and move on with your life. You need to remember that while the Bishop is there for counsel, you are in charge of your life.

I think that we all may be pre-ordained to do great things, I don't believe in predestination. There would be no reason to come and get our earthly body if no matter what our future actions are written in stone. T would be a useless step in the atonement, an our Heavenly Father does not do anything uselessly. I just can't buy into the predestination theory, and I don't believe the church teaches it.

Quick question. I was under the impression that when Elders are not with their companion, that they must be with another Melchizedek priesthood holder? (I.e. elders can not do splits with priests.....)

First check on what "rights" you may have as a renter in your state. If it was my family without cold water at the kitchen sink this is what I'd do....... 1) Send registered mail to property manager describing the lack of adequate repair. 2) State that no further rent payments will be made until proper repairs are made. There is a home across the street from us that has new renters every few months, we found out the owner is fighting foreclosure and has not made payments in 2 years. There are times I go mow the yard because I can't stand to look at it, another neighbor also does the same thing. Hate to see the condition of the backyard and pool........

I can understand the "it's the kids wedding/sealing" and it's up to them. I don't buy for a minute that any mother responding here would be ok with not witnessing their daughters wedding. As I've said before, my daughter has expressed the desire to have a temple marriage. I truly pray that my wife will join the church before that day comes, and for the right reason. I'll council for a wedding that is inclusive of my wife's presence. I've thought of this a lot, and I may even have to stay with my wife if it was not inclusive, she deserves the love and respect from me, and frankly from the daughter she gave birth to. The church should be more receptive to weddings/dealings of worthy members and not require the year wait. It makes no sense when it pertains to a worthy couple. Just me 4 cents.......

I was actually under the impression that "manuals" in general were going away and that the church wanted to start teaching "by the promptings of the spirit ". Not sure where I heard that but must have just been a rumor.
