I can understand the information that you have given Dr. T and it concurs with most basic teaching, true and correct. I have always wondered about people who are locked in mental asylums because they think that they are God, Abraham, Moses...etc. How do we know that they are not?

Apparently people are able to take parts of pictures from one photograph and copy them into another photograph. They took some of the RM Calendar pictures and added pictures to make it look like polgamy.

It did not confuse my lawyer in the least bit.

With the RM Calendar out there, I was not nearly so embarrassed by the pictures that were sent to me. And I do not think that they should be used to exploit my membership in this Church in any way. Anyone who has pictures of people living a different lifestyle before they came into the Church can do as they please with those pictures but they should not be making a profit from doing so. There is no reason to post outdated pictures of people as if to say that this is who they are today.

The people who lost their jobs in the county over when the alum siding company closed are working 2-3 jobs in fast food, seasonal landscaping, etc. and they are humbling to make ends meet.

I can see how trials might work with temporary problems/face it and move on. But what about job loss where a person may never recover to a full salary again and struggle with poverty the rest of their lives.

In this day and age, I think that fame has became a major trial for many people.

I did not check my personal e-mails that I received yesterday until about 2:00 a.m. today. Then I was calling a lawyer by 2:30 a.m. A family member who took possession of our family pictures etc had sent me a calendar that they had made from my pictures twenty years before I came into the Church. They had also revised the RM Calendar and inserted my pictures into it. That person has since took down their Internet shopping cart and is cheerfully making a full contribution for my legal fees. I have now learned that many members have been exploited prior to the RM Calendar by non-members.

Maybe it is just back online today. I had also added it to favorites so I don't know if that made a difference. I do find it interesting how many people have these feelings about librarys and how some people are not affected at all. But then again I get this same perspective about books when I am standing in the 90F+ sunlight for hours selling used books at the festival. Then there are the people who stop by and just connect with the same feelings.

I try to store as many foods as possible that do not need water, canned beans vrs dried beans, canned soups, canned juice etc. I see no reason that we cannot store a case of drinking water packaged by the mfg. After all, it's going to be recycled throughout the year. I do store pantry goods like flour, sugar, spices...etc. I will not use 400# of wheat this year, next year, so why have a rotting food storage? That seems pretty useless. You should never recycle plastic milk jugs because the bacteria can never be removed and the jugs break down over time. I know that water storage for hygiene is very important as well as drinking and cooking. I recycle 2 lt soda bottles and liquid detergent bottles, rinse them, and fill with tap water. We have so many chemicals in our city water that there is not an immediate concern about storage. A lot of people use this type of water storage when they go primitive camping and for RV traveling. There are water treatment kits for purifying fresh water (lake/river water). There is no guarantee that you will have the means to boil water to purify it in times of an emergency. Although it is not appealing to think of drinking water out of a detergent bottle, I would wash my hands with it.

We will not all come to this life and receive the ideal family. I have received many family blessings through my service to others. You never know when and where you may offer a service but you will be inspired and you can either act on it or simply let it pass. If you have the opportunity to lit a pilot light for a woman (who may or may not have a husband, or whose husband is too elderly), you will feel a kinship blessing. If you have the opportunity to volunteer as a baseball coach for the Boy's Club, you will share their struggles and help them to over come things. And you will feel the blessings. If you have the opportunity to open the door for someone and they refuse it, know that the door was opened for you as well. And you will know the blessings of the Lord.

It was my understanding that a man had to provide a separate home for each of his wives. Many genealogy records of land ownership during the time that Saints lived in Illinois and Missouri indicate that this is true.

Annabelli, When you say you understand plastic surgery is to be only used for healing, can I ask why you say that? There are many circumstances where plastic surgery is used to correct medical problems. With age, the skin above the eyes may start to droop over the eye and is corrected with plastic surgery. People will suffer broken noses, sometimes more than once, and when the scarred tissue presents a medical problem, plastic surgery is used to remove the tissue. Ear canals are often misshaped which causes problems and sometimes deafness and disease. Some people are born with a portion of an ear and plastic surgeons are able to construct the rest of the ear. People with under developed tongues and tongues which have been damaged through accident can be taken care of with plastic surgery. Someone who has to have a shoulder bone removed because of cancer can have a generic replacement so that their skeletal frame and posture is not affected by the loss which oftens creates the growth of more cancer. Eye muscles are often corrected by plastic surgeons so that they eyes focus in a straight path rather than "cross eyes" or one "lazy eye." Did you just think that vanity kept these doctors paid? This is the medical picture outside of Hollywood.

I understand that plastic surgery is to be used for healing only. Because many medications contain caffiene, you cannot abandon it's use for healing. Caffiene is a component of so many things that you really cannot separate yourself from it. You really have to study the biology of plants to understand the different properties of coffee and tea. As an example, you can remove a tomato from the vine but you cannot remove the affects of the vine from the tomato. And just so, you cannot remove the fertilzation which influnces the natural development of plants.

Are you saying that the kingdom of man is based on parables and the Kingdom of God is beyond our comprehension?

I have studied various forms of millenium but I do not understand the one spoken of in the LDS Church. Is this some sort of spiritual millenium? Isn't it wrong to try to build a Kingdom of God on earth?

Are baptisms for the dead only for people who have been born of this world and have a name? What becomes of a child who is miscarried? Do they receive the Atonement? Are baptisms conducted for these infants? Is a miscarried child born to a future generation?

I attended the the University of Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, QC, Canada. Having grown up where it was always summer, it was interesting to live where it was mainly winter. Igloos??? It wasn't in the brochure!

This is probably a good indication that I should start bringing out the warmer clothes. Oh yeah, it's going to be in the upper 80's and is already 86F. But tomorrow it could be in the lower 60F's. Maybe one side of the closet can be shorts and T's and the other jackets and thermals. I just hate getting caught on a snowy day in my shirt sleeves. We almost beat a heat record from 1902 the other day. But we are far from beating the cold temps back in the 1970's. Hope you enjoyed your snow day. :)

The General Conference will no doubt be viewed by more people the world over this year. However I think the only comment that will be made toward the spotlight is "attendance is up a little this year." Name dropping and highlighting scandals have never been addressed at General Conference and I do not think it will be any different this year. I believe that faithful LDS Members will find comfort and reassurance in the talks given at General Conference.

When a Church starts making allowances that goes against the Church values, it evolves to more serious problems with allowances for all things. Then the Church has no substance.
