Excellent questions Amillia. SF - If you had the chance to swap bodies with Terri, would you? If you believe her brain injury is treatable and if you could, would you take her place? It's easy to say Terri should keep living (if that's really what she is doing) because she is removed from all of us by not being us - she is the one going through this. We have no idea what her life is like, if you can call her ability to breathe, life. She has no quality of life, she's been like this for 15 years; if she keeps living what makes you think she won't spend another 15 years in this same vegetative state. Would you want to live that way? M. I honestly think it is very selfish of those people who are trying to keep her in this condition. It certainly isn't for her. ~

How many years has she been on it? And how much progress has she made? What quality of life does she have ~ and if she were able to just go home to the Lord, would she choose that over just laying there waiting for someone to pay attention to her?

I wondered about that also ~ if anything wouldn't it be more with Porta Rico and quantonamobay? (sp) and isn't there other places we pretty much own and operate?

Are you kidding? A REAL antimormon doesn't care about such technicalities. A real antimormon is free to confuse doctrines of any church ever associated with mormonism into one big, horrifying, satanic cult to be feared by real Christians... Which is stupid to be confusing, because the current Brighamite sect of mormonism is EXACTLY like Joseph Smith's version of mormonism. Is there a real Brighamite sect? Where?

I notice he fails to mention the virtue of the hairy butt or back. :) Those were interesting quotes--thanks! a hairy butt? YUK ~ I don't think I have ever seen one of those knowingly ! I hope I never do!!!

Okay ~ just change the "duck" to worms or something less personally offensive~ LOL

So true Hwood ~ a babu dying before it is born or soon after will have the chance to get married and have children ~ or any of the other many blessings they may have missed.

Well now you know everything!

Everyone will be with who they should be with ~ because God is kind ~ what will need to be done will be done through the millenium when angels and men will work together to do all the sealings of families that were otherwise unable to be sealed. You have to remember about the work for the dead and the work that will be done during the millenium ~ it guarantees no one will be left behind or out.

Is that right? I though China's population growth had slowed to below replacement rate. I think that because of how many they were ~ even if they only produced one child for every two people per lifetime ~ it would still produce an extrodinary amount of people.

I think that if Terri were a man, he would have already had the tube taken away.

Hey EJ ~ That was interesting. I was pondering a subject close to this today ~ What to say to an X or inactive and get them to think clearly ~ This is what I came up with: The demons know which church is true. Being their nature and job, they will pester and cast doubts in the minds of those who are in this true church. If faith in the priesthood and gospel as taught through the true church, produces miracles and an increase in understanding ~ Then doubt in these things will bring what? ~ If God is an intangable and the doubters demand tangible proof ~ will God give the tangible proof that He exists more than the earth and sky can attest? No. He will only give spiritual affirmations. If the demons can produce anything physical (remember Moses and the serpents) ~ as Satan is the God of this earth/natural man ~ will he give proof that he doesn't exist? Yes and much more ~ he will prove through the tangible means and elite reasoning that God doesn't exist either and that there is no such thing as a true church of Christ. In fact as faith gives God power to help us, doubt gives power to Satan to confuse and mislead us. Satan will put all sorts of things out there to cause doubt ~ it is his power over us.

I don't want my hubby to shave off his mustache ~ I hope it isn't something they are going to push ~

That is a question you should ask your bishop ~ cause I don't know ~ :)

This is the one I am sure is true ~ cause my ears hang lower every year and my nose does too!

I don't think it could be the 3 hour block. It wasn't but a year or two ago that they announced in General Conference that they'd gone through the programs one by one, disassembled and reassembled them and couldn't find any room for improvement (or dispense with anything.) My bet is that it's a new temple or building of some sort. I sure would like to see the GD class dispensed with~ LOL

Duckster! You got my attention here. Why do you wonder such a thing? Of all of the brethren to wonder about, he seems like one of the most unlikely to have doubts (to me, anyway.) Elder Packer sometimes a little too concerned that people will delve into Church history too far; his message is that people should toe the line and not question. When you're confident of your message, you don't have to be afraid of scrutiny. The most authoritarian types are sometimes the least secure. I think the late Hugh B. Brown's approach to the Gospel showed far more confidence that the Church would stand up to scrutiny. Of course, he lived during the Church's golden age of the 1940s and 50s, where the Church didn't face some of the challenges it does now, so it may be that Elder Packer's seeming bunker mentality is in response to the times. I think what you want is a grave digging expedition on a rainy day ~What the apostles are called to do is testify of Christ and Him crucified and ressurrected.

You are bringing up that old thing ~ wasn't it Poleman's talk ~ the one he gave after his 19 year old committed suiside and he was a little off the beat?

Amillia, I'm sorry, but I had to quit reading your post after this entry. This was almost enough to terrify me from ever using deodorant again. I can just imagine what the rest would have said. The thing that is interesting about this one is that I heard a long time ago, that the talc in deoderants caused alheimers because it was made from the same stuff as aluminum and aluminum was suspect of causing it. So, do you still use it or can't you remember? LOL ~ I don't use it except on Sunday. I think ~ The rest of the time I use perfume and lotions because I am not a be sweater and I bath often ~ I think ~
