All good points.

A former bishop (sweetest old man I ever met, by the way) once told me that if you are worried about having committed an “unforgivable” sin, you almost certainly haven’t committed an unforgivable sin.

We are heading out for the evening so go for it 😉

My thoughts as well, but I’m certainly no expert. -
Between memories of fishercats and the goat video that @Vort posted, I’m surprised I didn’t wake up five times last night screaming in terror.
-
Those were terrifying.

That ram is better on the bag than I could ever dream of being!

Oh okay. Thank you, I’m not into comics. Didn’t know that. -
Lol. Yeah, I’ll keep that one to myself! Lol.
-
Fishercats sound the same. @Grunt, being from New England have you ever heard them scream? It’s bone chilling to me.

That makes me feel much better, thank you. I always thought he was some kind of right wing hero. -

Oh boy. @NeuroTypicalI’m in your corner here. But I have to be clear-some of my happiest memories are listening to Cosby records with my dad and we saw him live in NH before the scandal broke. His scandal crushed me. I can listen to him in small doses still. -
The daughter of a friend of min took care of a goat for a 4H activity. Apparently the only thing the daughter learned was that goats really stink.

I know I’ve asked you before, but if you want garments I’m sure someone here can get them to you. Just letting you know if you change your mind.

Nope, I’m voting out of spite and to feel morally superior to those who get their hands dirty by voting for the nominee. I admit it.

As a baseball player, Wander Franco is spectacular. As a man, the devil wouldn’t spit on him. -

Just so that I’m clear with my own biases, my favorite baseball team has a guy who would be caught by Chris Hansen. I threw out his jersey a few days ago. https://www.nj.com/sports/2023/08/investigation-details-emerge-on-mlb-all-star-wander-francos-alleged-relationship-with-minor.html?outputType=amp -

Oh okay. Just google his name with “sex trafficking.” You’ll have to swallow a bitter pill because even though the allegations are terrible, conservative media won’t report it because they agree with Tate on the issues. If the right wants to be taken seriously, they’ll have to clean their house before they lecture others about theirs. Interestingly, this is exactly why everyone hates Hollywood for screaming at us about climate change from their learjets. Same kind of hypocrisy, different side. -

Glad someone asked. The right wants to fight against sex trafficking-and they should-but their own house has some dirty laundry too. https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/andrew-tate-coerced-women-sex-work-leaked-texts-1234794138/amp/ He’s the hero of couch potatoes who punch dry wall and think girls break up with them because they are “too nice” -
You and I have talked about this many times on FB. I see it totally differently. In the real world perfect is the enemy of the good. In politics we should vote for the lesser evil because the alternative is worse. So why won’t I vote for Trump? The same reason why right leaning people stayed home or voted third party in 08’, 12’ etc. After all, if it’s okay for them to do it I can too.
-
@JohnsonJones, welcome back. We missed you bro

I haven’t seen it and have no desire to, but I think the people “offended” by the Barbie movie aren’t really offended by it. They just want attention, or to show off how moral they are, etc. Usual reasons.
-
Ironically I always thought third party voting was childish and nonsensical. But after all the Trump drama I can see myself doing it. Even if I still think it’s childish and nonsensical.

Some of us did. Maybe, but not a large enough majority to influence the GOP. Like it or not, many moderates and even some conservatives are so turned off by him and his more hardcore followers that we refuse to even consider voting republican if he’s the nominee. What’s really sad? Joe Biden could be beaten by anyone but Trump. We are begging the GOP to nominate a plastic bag over Trump. But he’ll probably be the nominee.
