Day after day of bad news lately. In times like these, it helps to step back and be grateful. So I wanted to start a thread where people can type something they feel grateful for.

I'll start by saying:

I'm grateful for this wonderful, friendly, helpful website we can all come to for sharing ideas and tips which makes it easier for ourselves and others to gain the knowledge they need to care for themselves and their families.

Please feel free to add things you are grateful for.

I'm grateful for too many things to count- That the Lord is so merciful to me every day, that the Savior loves us so much that he gave the ultimate sacrifice beyond what anyone else could do, that He has given me the the most beautiful woman in the world for my wife, for my health, for this world, for this country, for friends, for family, for a home (not just a house), for love, for talents, for my thumbs, for my seeing, hearing, etc., for work, for play, for pizza, peas and carrots, for a brain, a heart, lungs, muscles, etc., for books, language, communication, etc., etc., etc...

I love these type of threads my dear sister. There are many things to be grateful but four things I could add: I am grateful to my Heavenly Parents in creating me and allowing me the opportunity to serve them in the Spirit world. I am grateful for our FATHER, in allowing me to come forth in this world to experience life and receive salvation at the feet of the Savior. I am grateful for the Savior, who is my exemplar and my elder brother whom I look up too. I am grateful for beloved eternal partner who stood by me in hard times, easy times, and who loves me for who I am. :D

I'm thankful for my cast iron, and that I seem to have something of a knack in using it. I'm thankful for beans and rice, because making them not only helps us rotate through food storage, it's also helping us save eight hundred bucks a year I would otherwise be spending on cafeteria food.

I'm thankful that 10 years ago this month, Pres. Hinckley told me, "with all the emphasis of which I am capable," to get out of debt as soon as I could.

There are so many things to be grateful for its hard to know where to start. I'm grateful to be able to know of my Father in Heaven and my Saviour Jesus Christ. To know they are there and I'm never alone. I'm grateful for the missionaries who knocked on my door and brought me the gospel at a time when I needed it most. I'm grateful for repentance or there would be no hope. I'm grateful for my life and for being able to come to earth to learn and grow and I'm grateful also for the peace I have in knowing why I'm here, where I came from and where I'm going when I leave this mortal life.

I'm grateful for the people in my life that help and make a difference and I'm grateful for all of you on this site for making a difference difference in my life. You've made me laugh in your lighter posts, cry in your sadder posts and helped me also to learn more about the gospel plan. It helps to come here when I'm feeling lonely. Thankyou

I have many things I am thankful for...

1) The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2) A loving Heavenly Father.

3) A large family that provides moral and spiritual support.

4) That in these trying times, I am blessed to be debt-free.

5) I am thankful that I was able to care for my mother in her last years.

6) I am thankful for the friends that have blessed my life.

Too many things to list but the one at the top right now is that I'm grateful for good medical care. My 7 week old granddaughter wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for great doctors, nurses and the facility to do their work. I'm grateful to God for guiding their hands and minds.

I am thankful for much, however I will point out that I am thankful for 'opposition in all things'. Through opposition we can grow and receive blessings. The scriptures say opposition in all things but that is really an opportunity to get 'blessings in all things'.

Thank you for starting this thread.

I'm thankful for the knowledge that I'm a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. I'm thankful to my Savior for the gift of the Atonement. I'm grateful for the adversity in my life, without it there wouldn't have been the blessings I've received and I don't want to give them back. :D

There are many more. . . but that's a good start.

I'm thankful for the Creator, for my health, for my 3 sons and their families, for the changing leaves and the smell of Fall in the air, for a roof over my head and food to eat, for music and a sense of humor. I could go on for pages and pages . . . there's so much, I feel rich!
