Gibsons Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 hELLO TO ALL! This is my first attempt at computer chatting, but since I work a solitary midnight shift and don't have many opportunities to talk religion and share my testimony, i hope some of you will drop me a line or two. I was quite a surprise to the missionaries who taught us since I knew 90% of the teachings, but they were really a blessing to my family and I. Don't have time to say much right now, but I hope I might hear from those who are interested in learning how an RLDS member became mormon. Quote

pam Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 No it's the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They branched off from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Quote
georgia2 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Yes, I would love to hear more about the differences in the teachings and what the original leaders said when they broke off and reorganized. Also how did you come about to change and how do you feel now? thanks Quote

BenRaines Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 It is not longer called the RLDS. About eight years ago they voted and changed their name to the Community of Christ church. They did so to help avoid confusion with LDS church. Ben Raines Quote
