KeithLBrown Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 I was born in 1958. My how the things have changed, and not all for the better. You are right. This is so on the mark! A truly sad commentary of our day. Quote

Maureen Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 I have to agree that the 2008 scenarios are a little over the top. I guess it was just too boring in 1958 we have to spice things up 50 years later, or make it seem we are spicing things up. :) Quote
Cydonia Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 1958 just seems boring because it is now in the past. But it was just as full of looming disasters, world diplomatic struggles, and celebrity gossip: 1958 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Quote

Guest HEthePrimate Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Talk about selective memory, guys! Yes things were different "back in the day," but not always for the better. This list seems over simple and tends to glorify 1958 and exaggerate contemporary problems. HEP Quote
bytor2112 Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 Given some of the 2008 scenarios I think my problem is that I don't watch enough fox news. I always find it fascinating that Fox is singled out.....I suppose some see it as right leaning, because they actually present both sides of the story. I tend to think they are fair to both sides...unlike CNBC, total left wing fantasy. Cnn is ok...sometimes. Quote

Any news that does not confirm what we think we know or at least what we want to hear must be TOTAL left-wing lunacy. Give us the news we can bob our heads in agreement with everytime! Quote

Moksha Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 What's your point?????? That with a magical return to 1958, some here would only be a twinkle in their parents eye, while others here would be reliving their youth (no names will be suggested). Quote
