Hello everyone;

I was actually told about this site by a Buddhist friend that I talk with at another site.

I'll probably poke around from time to time to see what is happening and hopefully participate a little bit.

About me: I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and I'm 31 and married. I'm a returned missionary I served in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission. I've been a member all my life, my parents are converts and the remainder of my family are non-members. I was just called as the sunday school president of our ward.

Was that person Bhodigirlsmiles? We like her here, and many of us will be putting a good word in for her on the other side of the veil... ;)

Yes it was Bhodigirlsmiles she and I met on the site Theology online. She definitely deserves every good word we can give. :)

Hi and welcome! While in Kambidia, didi you ever hear about a place my friends friend started there for girls that they saved from sexslavery? There is also an orphanige there. It is called Pihlakoti... I found out the name for it :D

A few years ago some men came at night and stole 3 of the girls back. Luckily on had a mobile with so she called for help, but one of them was not found...:huh:

How was it like to be on mission ther. My son is filling his papers just now....

I was not familiar with any place like that. We were still new in the country when I was there and we were still try to get our bearings on who was who and what the various organizations in the country were doing.

Serving a mission there was a wonderful experience. I'm sure your son will have a wonderful and fulfilling time no matter where he serves.
