Ok I know that this isn't a matter of life or death or even all that important, but i would like to hear some of your ideas! I am almost 21 a girl and so my mission papers are turned in and I am really excited, I am supposed to get them one week from today, and we are inviting those people that are important to me over while I open it, and i was just wondering if anyone had any cool ideas to do or that they did when they opened their call? you know like having people write on a map where they think you are going and stuff like that? any ideas or thought or anything would be appreciated!

ok as a side note i was wondering if anyone knows any good talks, quotes, inspiring things on the topic of forgiveness?

I have known of a couple that have videotaped it. Then you could look back at your expression and those around you as to what you initial reaction was.

A friend of mine got his call and hung on to it until that Saturday, while at his best friend's wedding reciption, he opened it in front of everyone while his mom was on the phone.

Video tape definately - but I saw once where they wrote countries down on a piece of paper and attached it to a dart board...then they had people throw darts. Someone kept track of where everyone's dart landed. Then he opened his papers. Anyone who got the right country got a chocolate bar.

You could fake the letter as you read it. Where do you live? Pick the mission directly next door to yours, and "read" that you've been called there, but choose some really weird language, like Hmong or something.

Alternatively, you could freak your parents out by "reading" off what would seem to be a new mission, that you've been called to serve in the Iraq Baghdad Mission, and that you'll be learning Arabic.
